Revisor: In my opinion Grimoire is a great match for GOG and I'm really surprised why they rejected it.

Seems that curation is not such a good thing after all.
Some people here, think that Grimoire's developer is a "toxic element". Said people, by ways and means, regularly "convince" GOG employees to share their worries, visions, uncertainties, or worse (on various matters) and partake in their definition of "curation" (specifically, in cases like this, Hatred, Agony, etc).

As it seems to be, No1 on top of GOG priorities at present, is to be "curating toxic elements", instead of bringing in more games; games with 500+ votes in the wishlist, at that. So...

Cons
The game is not selling well.
Cleve has already lowered the full price of the game (something he said would never do)
The game is currently on 50% discount (another thing Cleve said he would never do)
Cleve himself is untrustworthy, erratic, petty, litigious and prone to flaming people on gaming forums.

Pros
The game is an homage to Wizardry 7

Conclusion:
I think GOG did just fine rejecting this game. And I don't think there is any reason to bring a fight over politics into this.

Ok. What about Hatred? What about Agony Unrated? Agony Unrated specifically, its devs recently announced that they are already trying for a second time, to convince GOG extend partnership. Okay, the guy you say is this and that. The guys from those two are what, exactly? Niche?

Inb4 the reason that Ancestor's Legacy isn't here is because it's made by the devs of Hatred and soon Kingdom Come Deliverance will be delisted by GOG because they have joined the journalists to the dark side, i just know it.

I do like Wizardry, in fact all Wizardry games that are here already but this game just doesn't make an impression somehow but i wouldn't turn it down.

KiNgBrAdLeY7: It's easy to figure out, really. Whenever you see the "this game is too niche" line, automatically translate that into:

"X number of community members got triggered by Y number of said game's features, so we should decline it. Because said community members blackmailed us before to stop buying our games and tell their friends do the same, unless we ban whatever they deem as "toxic elements" ".

The first step, had been them demanding forum moderation and new rules. Now, they have a say in what games ultimately make it here, as it seems.

Besides, there was that huge controversy with that SJW employee of GOG before, he caused quite the ruckus, some time ago. (just google it out, i am too bored to deal with that, sorry)
Is see, so that's why gOg first rejected Opus Magnum for the same reason.... I bet the SJW reacted to... umm... the pistons? That's it, isn't it? The way the pistons go in and out and in and out, and the machine just have to lay there and take it as those pistons keep pumping and pumping and placing those gems within the machine so forcefully and ....

....

scuse me, I need to go and have a cold shower.

First - What amok said. GOG rejects all kinds of games. You want to play what-about-x-game, you'll have to come up with a theory that accounts for every game they reject. Good luck.

Second - Agony sucks. Every review everywhere says so.

So does Hatred.
I own it.

Hatred is simply not a good game, from all I've heard (and I love games Postal 2, like "Not a Hero" and Hotline Miami).
And Agony... I've been interested - I like strange and "deviant" art and going to and pushing the limit, and maybe they made a good game, maybe they failed. I probably would have bought it. But really - it's as niche as it can get.
Agony isn't on GOG because GOG isn't willing to sell Adults Only games. It has nothing to do with GOG being against having the Agony game specifically. GOG would also be equally against having any other Adults Only games.

That's a whole ballpark of an issue all on its own. But very few GOG customers seem to advocate for them to stop forbidding AO games, so probably they will continue to do so, unless their customers start to demand otherwise in future.

How is HuniePop not an adults only game? The only difference between the censored and uncensored is the cum shot.

What TinyE said. Also AFAIK Witcher 1 as offered here is AO in the US of A too.

And this too. Although it's really not a very good game, sadly. Still glad it's here.

Asbeau: Let's get real. This was never going to happen.

Grimoire wouldn't be accepted by any store with curation, and nobody in their right mind would want to work with Cleve or want to be associated with him.
Why? Probably I'm out of the loop, I've never even heard about this Cleve before.

If you hang out in here you've met several people just like him.
