bombardier: How do you explain that my local store that sells computer magazines doesn't also sell porn magazines? How do they differentiate between those types of magazines since it is such an impossible task to differentiate because both types of magazines use paper and ink?
Or that cduniverse store has a dedicated special part of the shop for porn movies?
Both are likely affected by the sexual repression that is rampant in culture, and in some cases there may also be "think of duh children" laws that require them to obscure such material. This isn't the "gotcha" you think it is, as if a store was generally a "magazine store" (similar to how GOG is a "DRM-free gaming store") there is no reason not to sell magazines of various interests, yes, including adult erotic interest.
Yet again, it would be bizarre to make exceptions for anything else. It doesn't make sense to say "this is a magazine store for all kinds of magazines, but we absolutely will not sell you automobile-related magazines! You have to go somewhere else, or maybe we can hide them behind the counter and only if you ask will we let you buy them". Why specifically are you making an exception for the adult-related stuff?
By the way, I don't care what your real-life store does; it is obvious most people are carrying this religio-cultural bias to various degrees. I am asking for
justification of such biases, justification in an intellectual sense, meaning appeals to majority or appeals to tradition are logical fallacies and do not meet such a standard.
bombardier: And what acrobatic logic are you using to connect immaturity with not wanting porn? Especially when the quality of these games is so poor, that if they weren't porn you would be screaming that it is a shovelware and that the curation process is failing.
The immaturity is in not wanting adult games here DRM-free, when this is a store that sells DRM-free games, while being unable to logically justify your bias as to why adult games "shouldn't" come here but other types should. Please do not put words in my mouth. And again, you are illustrating the hypocrisy. If you are concerned about low-quality/low-content titles, there are imo a fair amount on here especially if factoring in ones that were abandoned by devs/pubs. The fact that you are not railing against such titles, but are railing against the idea of the adult titles, proves that it really isn't about wanting "high quality games-only" at all.
