Vitek: Mostly it has noting to do with my original point that 3rd spot is usually one of those considered suspicious and I don't know if ZFR meant it that mafai would be aware and avoid it or if they hust wouldn't do it as it is notplace where mafia vote. So I don't even know why I did that. :-)
This was pretty interesting for me to see, I was trying to see the intuition behind the numbers. Like are those places where wagons generally stall and scum pushes them to more mature point? (which makes them more likely to get to lynch)

Because if that was the case then scum might have no other way around it because a wagon stalled early might mean no lynch which I've read here sometime ago with numbers that it works out in their favor but it could also mean that a new wagon could form on them.

Please bear with me. I'll try to be more active.
Don't worry about it, keep asking questions whenever you don't understand something which helps out you and others in the game also. Lot of it keeps going over my head but all we can do is try. :)

blotunga: Being lurky has its perks, but I think I've been lynched for it several times.
What perks are there if you aren't scum trying to hide?

avatar
blotunga: Being active has the downside that everything you write will be used against you by scum and town both.
That's the only way we can win the game. We win together as a group. Even if single units don't make it alive to the end they still win with the rest of the Town. Sure, try to not get yourself lynched by doing or saying suspicious things but do active try help ferret out the scum. That's not done by keeping a low profile (it might be beneficial in certain situations but not as a main MO).

GymHenson: Also be ready to note the following as well**: Drink.....your.....Ovaltine
Love the A Christmas Story reference it's one of my favorite movies, but isn't is "Be sure to drink your Ovaltine"?

Engerek01: Bess whipped her tail with anticipation when she heard her name.

And there is lots of writing. So my mind usually goes to deep slumber after I finish reading. Trying to cope with what I read instead of finding an appropriate reply.

I am also a very "safe" person. I didn't want to write something wrong, especially after a few people made fun of my "fluff" writing.

Please bear with me. I'll try to be more active.
If you want to Roleplay go for it, just make sure you notate it to everyone when you are so they don't think you are being serious. Me personally I don't have an issue with it as long as you do post seriously as well ;)/ This game is basically catch the liars (scum) and lynch them. Also, we all write something wrong at times it's the nature of the game so don't stress too much over it if you do. Just have fun playing :)

If you don't say much there isn't much to go on you :)
My big mouth (even virtual mouth) usually gets me in more trouble than if I'd keep shut.

But yea, exchanging information is important.

Also maybe we should think about shortening D1 to about 72 hours overall.
Seems like half the week we're going nowhere and we just start getting serious close to the deadline.
Or forgo deadlines altogether, the day will end in a random time interval, no less than 48h, no more than 7 days.

Would it be interesting for future games?

At risk of repeating my RFG blunder, I'd think if Enger was scum then, assuming they have D-chat, he'd be coached more.

Why do you assume scum has daychat? I think it's perfectly plausible to have four scum.

One of the characters was specifically made around scum day chat. As long as he's alive, scum can chat during day.

- Telepath: as long as he is alive, the Mutants have a Day-Chat.
What has the number of players being 4 got to do with Day chat?

We know that it's possible because there is a potential for a role that makes it happen. The Carrier or something of sort can create a day-chat while alive.

Does Pooka have a point about people not reading rules and mod information or are you Trent's buddy?

That dude has been called Carrier, Communicator and Telepath now. He sure goes by many names.

I've read the rules, but not all roles have to be present.
Though of course can be.
But since it's likely to be a game with more PRs than usual (according also to what Lift stated before starting), maybe he balanced it differently.
Also 4 scum and daychat might be a bit too much of an advantage.

Anyway, maybe you're right and we should assume there might be day-chat, which would mean that scum get to coordinate.

Thanks for the bump.

EBWOP: In #188 I wrote "Carrier" when I was thinking of "Courier" but it's actually "Telepath".

Agreed.

When I started playing it was 48 hour days and 24 hour nights. We were all local so the worldwide time zone wasn't a concern.

With varied time zones it’s hard to do a 72 hour day, but I think we could definitely do 96 or 120 hours for Day and 24 hours for Night.

The later days should be this short. For the first 1 or 2 I don't mind longer ones as players get to know each other.

I'm ZFR. I'm Town. Nice to meet you all.
