Korotan: Why I am scum again?
At first I gave this another meaning from what I assume Koro was trying to say and was like "wtf!!" :D

bucktoothgamer: Perhaps. there is still time however for me to put my vote toward something LESS circumstancial than a post you made on page 2 that was probably less suspicious than I thought it to be.
Speaking of time it's slowly slipping away. At this point I believe everyone has been accounted to some extent. Let's assume nothing will change from now till the last hours near deadline. Do you have any reads or feelings about who you would like to vote?
Aaaaaaaaah, I had a hell of a day at work today. I'm sorry, I'm really really tired.
Bess enjoyed the lunch, she had been having since the morning. There wasn't much to do other than reading old vault 13 magazines. She was intelligent for a brahmin, but not that intelligent as a human being. She always let the emotions get over her.

I noticed someone was being a perfect townie. Too perfect.

OK, I was hoping to wait a bit longer to see if blotunga can be baited more, but it seems this is the most I'll get.

blotunga, I think you're scum. I'm sorry, but since the time I wrote I town-read you, my town-leaningness of you has evaporated as fast as GOG's anti-DRM stance when Epic came knocking.

I've noticed recently a fairly common scum-tell, and unlike the "#3/#4 on wagon" which seems to me to be an old wives tale, this did hold pretty well in quite a few games. Namely a scum is likely to ask "Well, how do you know that scum has the property X?" to a fairly reasonable assumption made by Town.

It has been done even by the author of this post in the only game he drew Mafia:
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/forum_mafia_58_disney_to_the_rescue/post97
"Joe, and Pooka, why assume 2 scum only?"

And now I see it in blotunga's posts: "Why do you assume scum has Day Chat?" and "I think there could be four Mafiosos".

Hmmm... in the previous game I played, who was it who asked "Why assume Mafia have Day Chat?"? That's right: scum-dedo. Even in the game I hosted it was scum-Micro who made a bit of a show of "if Mafia have Day Chat" to convey he doesn't know.

This post in particular feels very wrong:
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/gog_mafia_70_the_shelter_a_fallout_game/post190

So you did read the rules, you were aware of the Carrier/Courier/Commentator/TFPTSLBOOIA/Telepath role than enables Day-chat and still expressed surprise at me mentioning Day Chat???

I mean, yes I know not all roles are present. So I wouldn't assume with certainity that Mafia has Day Chat, but I wouldn't be surprised that someone mentions it.

Just to be clear: it's not your assumption that Mafia may not have Day Chat that I have most beef with. Since not all roles are present that's a possibility to keep in mind. It's your surprise at my assumption that I find very strange, given how by your own words you were aware of the existance of the role.

Sorry. Sorry because you just came back to playing Mafia and you were lynched early last game.

Can you please elaborate this sentence more? What do I have missed about Epic came to GoG knocking?

ZFR:
Wow such wall of text and so clearly wrong.

GOG started selling Epic games on Galaxy. I just made a simile.
Anyway, I'm sure if I were part of the day chat I'd do a better job against such attacks.

It kinda slipped my mind the telepath role, but even so there is a chance that there is no telepath.

So in this case I think it's malice. Are you scum ZFR?

blotunga: Wow such wall of text and so clearly wrong.
Why "clearly"?

Here are the posts

ZFR 185: I'd think if Enger was scum then, assuming they have D-chat, he'd be coached more.

blotunga 186: Why do you assume scum has daychat?

ZFR 187, dedo 188:One of the characters was specifically made around scum day chat. We know that it's possible because there is a potential for a role that makes it happen. Does Pooka have a point about people not reading rules and mod information?

blotunga 190: I've read the rules, but not all roles have to be present.

Don't you see the strangeness of post 190?

To reiterate

ZFR: Scum may have day chat (not a fact, just a possibility)
blotunga: why do you assume that?
blotunga again: oh yes, I knew about the day-chat character?

Don't you see it. If I had stated that scum definitely have day chat, then you would have been right to question my certainty. But my post 185 never stated for a fact that they did, just a possibility, which given the presence of a character was a fair assumption. You, by your own admission, knew about the presence of the character. So why did you question my post?

Bragging rights trio: blotunga, trent, Pooka. Third party: Joe.
As said, it slipped my mind then I re-read the setup. I think you can do a lot better than trying to lynch me for such a flimsy reason. Trust me, all of which you thought scum-tell, it isn't. We all tick differently so if for example someone did something as scum in the last game it doesn't means that someone else will do the same thing in the next game.

I had to read through the whole thread again to gather some opinions. This first one is an obvious bias on my part, but this one off comment from Hunter:

flubbucket: I don't know.

However I do find ZFR and trentonlf to be very palsy-walsy.

Their latest exchange (edited for clarity and brevity):

ZFR: I think I'm so very town.

trentonlf: So what you're saying is you think you're town??

ZFR: Yes. How very town of you to notice. I think you are so very town as well.

trentonlf: Thank you. I think you are so very town as well.

ZFR/trentonlf: (sound of passionate sloppy kissing)

Hunter65536: Did you misspell bucktoothgamer and Joesapphire? :p
Didn't linger on the point very long but I do wonder the reason for deflecting the idea of ZFR and Trent having overly friendly "debate". If someone was to peg those two as scum, hunter made a quick attempt to throw off the scent.

My other feeling is Korotan. After looking over again they did post more than what I had I thought, but their posts consist of giving a heads up to their potential lack of posting, a fluff post, and then a snap reaction to joe listing them as potential scum. Not an actual vote mind you, just being in a list of names that were thrown out.

So as you said, if nothing were two change between now and the final hours my vote would go to one of them.

Honestly, that's fair. Truth be told im surprised I havent garnered any more votes, as my overuse of the word town has caught the eyes of others as well. My only defense/excuse would be that im relatively green to mafia(2-3 games experience, 1st on this forum) and the one rule I gather was that posting frequency equated to innocence. This may lead to me over posting to look like im not lurking, and in turn coming off as overly friendly to a fault. I might be showing my lack of experience too easily, but the upside is hopefully my bumbling around means I would be deemed threatening enough to waste an early nightkill on.

At this stage it's all circumstantial...unless you know something we don't.

Your vote retraction is the kind to thing to watch for.

Sooooo do you know something??

I wont say "trust me" cause who am I kidding. I am as clueless as everyone else, probably more so than people with more experience that would know to look at a vote retraction such as mine would cause suspicion.

...Is that what that smell was?
