JoeSapphire: yeah good question, I've just finished series one. Series three onwards so bad that it's best to pretend it doesn't exist?

I don't think there's a specific point to stop, just when the charm wears off for you, that's probably a good point to stop since it's going to continue to degrade over time, perhaps not completely unlike LOST.

If you're enjoying it enough to stick around to the bitter end, then you can come back and complain about the finale :)

I don't recall exactly when I stopped - somewhere in early S4 probably, but I only made it that far because the two people I was living with (esp one) were seriously committed.

cristigale: "the Busey" looks like it belongs in American McGee's Alice.
The Busey is from Ocarina of Time.

That game is different from what I always imagined.
It was a terrifying ordeal.

Vitek: I do have it and I have looked. Thaa allowed me to see bigger Skyrim helmet staring at ugly naked bird monster.
Those spots of snow in the background are quite a nice touch and good reference to Skyrim, I admit that. ;-)
Right I'm off!
See you all in four years.

Then I am off too and I'll be back in 4 years to undeservedly diss Joe's paintings again.
is it damnation or zeogold still we're waiting on? Is there anyone else we can get in touch with?
Or I can play one role with my left brain and one role with my right brain if need be
Zeogold doesn't particularly want to play. I don't know anything about Damnation.

At this rate though, I'd guess that Lift is going to be able to join in.
oh yay that'll be nice
Anybody know any good word games to keep us busy while we wait? We could do a build-a-story game.

Good News/Bad News anybody?

Fortunately Joe came up with a great idea to stave off the anxious boredom that everybody was starting to panic about.

(then someone tells the next part of the story beginning unfortunately, and then the next person fortunately again and we tell a cracking story alternating good/bad.)

And/Or we tell a story three words at a time - here's my beginning

Joe never opened

(where someone else tells the next three words of the story and so on I'm sure you know it.)

Have there been any particularly good mafia games/set ups on gog that are worth reading?

This one is memorable.

This one had a nice twist to it.

Any of the ones where I was town and we won. Don't worry, there aren't many so it wouldn't take long.

Also as there are a few names I don't particularly recognise I will take this opportunity to recommend my script to those of you who haven't used or heard of it, as the superior search options can help immensely when playing.
I'm on my phone so can't easily link at the moment but I'll drop a link in later if some kind soul hasn't already.

There are two versions, the new all singing all dancing one that adds lots of features to GOG, and the original one which I made to search Mafia games better if you're not interested in all the other bells and whistles.

Edit: Here's the link https://www.gog.com/forum/general/adalia_fundamentals_fixing_gog_so_you_dont_have_to
and the original just search one if you don't want all the rest of the stuff

I've got a new laptop, and I've been meaning to get at least one of those installed again. Is there an updated/current version of the install instructions?

Not really... just what's on the first post of the thread.
Basically install Tampermonkey (unless you're on Palemoon, in which case you need an old fork of Greasemonkey), go to the script page and press the Raw button, it should install it self.

If you have any problems just let me know and I'll do what I can though.

And now that I'm on my laptop, some actual links.

My first game, a really nice set up by Krypsyn

A mad, and brilliant, game run by flub

And this one with the role bidding (we should do that again, it was fun) and CSPVG's interesting flavour

Heh, I gave it a ten minute try (while also on a work call) and didn't get it installed. Will have to try again this eve since I'm headed off to the office.

If Lift isn't back among the living/technologically connected I assume someone already contacted the folks on the usual list (Sage, yogs, mchack, dess, dedo, Leonard, etc)? How abouts Hunter/trial/brasas/babark perhaps? Darko?

No one's still in touch with Nacho/Tammy/Stanari?
