@Galaxy Team:

So I don't want to nitpick but I'm going to nitpick for a moment... whoever is in charge of the UI or this feature can you please do a very minor fix on the friends suggestions window.

Add:

border-bottom: 1px solid rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.08); To whatever class / id you need to add it to, to create a bottom border below "Browse suggestions". That appears to be what the rest of the UI uses anyway.

Also Add:

background-color: #d8d8d8; for the top of the window where search bar / invite a friend / browse suggestions is located.
background-color: #e7e7e7; for the suggested friends.

Inconsistent UI bothers me like crazy. So much so that I'm tempted to open the CSS files and fix it myself. The friends window and the add friends window should share the same UI.

Tiny issue with the newest update, when you want to uninstall a game the line that should say "do you want to delete savegames" or whatever is just garbled code now.

@Galaxy Team:

I know a recent change made it so that Galaxy will tell you when a beta branch is removed I believe, but I think you guys should also notify users when the stable branch version number is higher than the beta branch when you are on the beta branch. Turning on the beta branch then forgetting you are on when a live version is released can keep you on an outdated build by the looks of it.

This just happen to me, Hollow Knight released their life blood update from beta to release but I forgot I was on beta and the beta version was still slightly behind the release version.

Would have been nice if you guys had taken the opportunity to do bit of a redesign there. For instance, friends on "friends activity" should be clickable and should take you to their profile. Achievements should onle show 2 recent achivements with "show all" being replaced with a link that takes your to your profile with the all the said games listed achievements.

You mean Activity Feed? When you hover over a user's avatar and username, you should see a tooltip with links to their profile, wishlist, and chat

When you click on game title on the activity, you should be redirected to a page with all unlocked achievements in that game by that user

No I'm talking about on the game page, for installed games.

I should be able to click on a friends name / avatar whatever and that should take me to their profile. Achievements no longer need to be displayed in one giant long list on the game page now that we have profiles. Show the most recent 2 or 3 unlocked on the game page and when a user clicks "show all" take them to their profile of the game and show all the achievements for said game. So if I click on show all achievements for "a boy and his blob" this will take me that games specific achievement page on the profile.

Hello everyone!

So, I have had the opportunity to see what the new profiles look like.

There are two things that I would like to criticize:

1.: Facebook integration. I mean, I hope at least someone at GOG followed the news lately. Marc Zuckerberg says thank you.

2. Default profile settings: I would like to see that GOG respects its customers a little more and sets the default profile settings to the highest available privacy instead of setting everything to public by default.

Both points pretty much go hand in hand. But I guess the free advertising through Facebook is just too sweet to get rid of.

Sorry for my rant.
Hey, I am loving the design of the new profile features, hopefully you can integrate the whole galaxy client with how a profile is personalized. For example if a user selects a blue or black background, every section of the client should use those colors. Right now looks a little chaotic when browsing from one section to another, like from the Store to my profile, or my library to my profile, or account management. It is understandable since this is a new feature.

Finally, it would be nice if you send every user an email explaining clearly how will user uploaded content gonna be treated privacy wise, are you going to retain that data and claim rights like facebook does? Hopefully you can communicate those and other aspects of it efficiently and without "small letters" using a long Terms and Conditions or Privacy Statement.

Edit: How can I share the URL of my profile so I can post it on other forums?

It is not a Galaxy issue but I fear that in the news thread this will be missed. In the Profile - Games page you can select a friend to compare your games with. If you want to remove this selection it is clear that the same friend should be selected again (and a small X indicates this). It works in Galaxy, it doesn't work on site (Firefox 59.0.2).

There also needs to be a way to access profiles from the friends list via Galaxy. It opens chat by default, but you could make clicking on the avatar open the profile and clicking anywhere else open the chat window.

Somebody didn't think this through fully. As it stand right now, there seems to be no direct way to access friends profiles except via "Activity Feed", "Your Profile", & "The Forum" regardless if you use Galaxy or the site.

Even on the website if I click manage friends or hover over an avatar on the list of online friends I can't directly access their profile. Please fix.
- You can't change your profile picture from your profile page.
You need to go to your account management, click change, add your password.
Needlessly complicated.

- Activity feed doesn't support GIFs and Twitch clips.
I guess it only supports youtube and non animated pictures.

- You can't pin anything on your profile feed.

- The only thing you can do is like people's posts, you can't comment on it or anything else.

- There is no showcase feature, you can't show your favourite games, achievements, rarest achievements etc.

- When you click "All achievements" just brings you to the games tab where you can't really see your achievements. Doesn't really make any sense.

- Wishlist, reviews, screenshots are not implemented.
(Except new reviews show up on your feed)
There should be tabs or something for these. Where you see all of your screenshots, reviews and where you can see your wishlist.

Even galaxy doesnt really support screenshots.
Would be nice to take screenshots with the client and upload to your feed.

- Still cannot set custom keys for taking a screenshot and overlay.

- You can't check somebody's profile from the chat window.

- Not really galaxy related but you can't make your own rank order on your wishlist.

Profile page looks nice but really needs some features.

I agree with 4-vektor. Although I don't care to change the settings myself, it should honestly be preset to highest private settings and there should be zero association to Facebook. It is kind of strange that you guys would even decide to integrate with Facebook...

Open your profile and copy the URL. Or just remember your username and tell them that it is /u/USERNAME. So, like this:

https://imgur.com/tXgkzRC
*had to form example as IMAGE so forum would stop turning it into a link.

The profiles are cool, but it would be nice to be able to comment on the activity feed posts. You should add that.
