Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

evilnancyreagan: What's the optimal way to transition from the alpha client to the beta?

I can see a box for the beta on my games shelf but is says it's 'not yet available' when I view my shelf through the client but I can download it from my self when viewing the shelf from my browser.
Mine automatically updated when I launched it this morning. That seems pretty optimal to me.
I don't know, man. This was announced almost a year ago. Where is everything?

I wasn't expecting all the social features and other niceties to be ready, but I thought maybe there would be one or two features other than GOG Downloader + website. I suppose auto-update counts for something, though I can't figure out how to turn it off which sort of makes it a bad feature.
Please be aware that Client will accept any folder pointed to
This doesn't seem to be the case. Maybe I am being unfair here or nitpicking, but by "any folder" I had expected the client to recognize folders with old versions of GOG games in them, and at least present me with an error. But it's just telling me "Did not find any games to import." How about don't import them then? I don't need a game launcher to "import" every game I play. No media manager of any kind for as long as I can remember has insisted on "importing" things the user already has in place. What is this even for?

If it was GOG's intention for Galaxy to just plain not play nicely with games that weren't made for it, this is honestly baffling. If a ragamuffin operation like Raptr can figure this out, I can't get my head around GOG having trouble with it after so much development time. I get that the auto-updater is married to a new installer format, but to not have even a placeholder for the absolute #1 essential feature of a game launcher, when your own installed customer base has 5 years worth of your products lying around, customized and modded and sometimes in older versions we can't have anymore - I am dumbfounded here. What in the world do you think we wanted out of this? A daily reminder that we can launch all our GOG games from Steam?
Posted three new Galaxy requests as a result of my chatting with Judas earlier today:

Chat: Show who is typing

Chat: Active notification of a message

Chat: Flash icon/titlebar of chat client when message arrives in background

Go into the individual game page in your library, click on More > Configure.

We sincerely hope that the introduction of GOG Galaxy doesn't mean that you will no longer be offering the delivery of games by pigeon?

I exited Galaxy completely (alpha version) and restarted it, and it began the update process automatically. If you haven't restarted Galaxy today, try that first.

opticq: The alpha doesn't auto update to the beta it seems. You should be able to download the beta from your library. Otherwise refreshing should make it work.
Yeah, I was reading reports that it did auto-update which would be a more elegant (and my prefered) solution over a clunky manual uninstall-reinstall

Can I get sommadis? ^

BINGO!

1.0.0.871

Strange, that it required an additional restart, I shut my PC down completely last night. Oh well, it works--who cares how or why?

(that's the popular consensus regarding technology these day, right?)

The alpha does update to the beta, but you may have to exit the program and restart it a few times to trigger the update. Whether that is due to bugs in the software, bugs on their backend server infrastructure, or some sort of update throttling mechanism present on the server or client isn't clear however. When I posted a comment this morning about starting the client and it not updating, then exiting and starting it again as another user suggested I magically got the beta update just fine. An hour or so later I got a message from one of the developers asking me for my Galaxy logs so I'm assuming there might be a glitch they're working on ironing out with the update process. Seems reasonable for alpha/beta testing though, so just try exiting and restarting a few times. Worked the second start for me here.

Looks like chat feature doesn't work properly for me. Typed to two person on my list but I didn't get even any response from them. That's weird :(

Strange, I thought that might be the case as well and restarted Galaxy several times to no such luck.

The notification are a touch too minimalist in their current state, hence one of my wishlist items. I could be that they aren't noticing them. Or they could just have Galaxy running in the background and aren't paying attention to the chat notifications. Again, another reason why I suggested more active features (which the user should be able to toggle on and off).
Im loving gog galaxy but we need a better way to add friends ;) a search maybe?
Tried importing games manually, and this is what happened:
1.Game "X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter". Import folder /at this point decided to pick the main folder /GOG Games, just to see if Galaxy will find XvT folder by itself, and that was my mistake/. Galaxy reinstalled the whole game in the main folder, so i decided to uninstall the game. Galaxy deleted ALL my games, leaving only the folder "!Downloads"...
please add an option for us to add friends in a simpler way. Had to post a comment in order for my buddy to find my account
The clients design is overall nice, but it has bugs here and there. For example: u can't seem to make purchases via paypal on it, attempting to do so would result in just going back to my game library. But overall, it's a nice client.
