The Friends list could stand to refresh more frequently. Of particular interest would be a more obvious indicator when a message has arrived, such as a colour-change of Galaxy icon in the taskbar/tray or a more prominent notification in the Friend list.

Aye, amazed how this is missing. I cant get a single reply. My friends and I have steam open to chat since we cant do it via galaxy being unable to tell when a msg has come

It would be nice to have desktop-native notifications support. Like Growl on OS X etc. Or also just a GoG themed notification thing like the Steam client does. Right now it's really hard to know when someone wrote a message to you in chat.

I would also like some sort of icon change to see a message has arrived. I'd prefer this over any sound effect. Possibly a small, discreet notification in the overlay, too, once it is implemented. As long as there is a good balance between being informative, but also non-disruptive in terms of gameplay.

Ever had someone on steam send 5 or more messages in less than 10 seconds, each line containing maybe am incomplete word or two? Yeah, we all have "friends" like that. I don't want that sort of annoyance.
