I just got confirmation by Omega64 that
Close to the Sun on GOG includes the Hungarian language even if it's not indicated on the store page so it was removed off the spreadsheet.
Updated list of store pages that forget to mention languages that are actually present in the game:
- Baldur's Gate III (it doesn't list Japanese)
- Chef: A Restaurant Tycoon Game (it doesn't list Spanish)
- Close to the Sun (it doesn't list Hungarian)
- Subterrain (it doesn't list Traditional Chinese, only Simplified Chinese)
- Succubus (it doesn't list Hungarian)
I'll write right now an email to GOG to bring up the issue. I kindly ask everyone to go through the games that are listed on the spreadsheet for missing languages and check yourself if they actually miss them.
So far I got confirmation that
Aarklash,
The Dragoness: Command of the Flame, the whole
Braveland series and
The Next BIG Thing are actually missing languages.
Oriza-Triznyák: Can someone confirm that the Gog version of Flotsam is missing the following updates :
0.9.0f6
0.9.0f7
0.9.1e1
Hustlefan: Confirmed, but
0.9.0f7 &
0.9.1e1 are experimental builds. These were never available on GOG.
I'm pretty sure that as soon as 0.9.1 leaves the experimental state it'll be released on GOG too. It has always been like this with Flotsam.
Personal opinion which I'm guessing it's common here: it's fine to give leniency to developers if they skip some temporary patches or upload them later on GOG, as long as they show that they care about keeping up the GOG version and did not just forget about that. It's understandable that people may not have time or resources and that, from what I heard, on GOG it's much more difficult to handle a frequent line of updates than on Steam. It's different from big houses that have no excuses for completely skipping important features
