ERBlank: I'd suggest you inform the developers of this mess between GOG and GOG Galaxy. Maybe they could provide better technical instructions to GOG staff.

RekontVerlon: Thanks, but I find that a bit odd. Shouldn't GOG pack the files into the offline installer?
On the contrary, it's much better to contact publishers/developers in these cases.

GOG stuff aren't allowed to just edit game builds as they like, outside of extremely specific situations. They must adhere to precise indications from developers and publishers. If, for example, offline installers aren't being updated because somewhere on GOG end misunderstood and thought that the update was supposed to be a Galaxy exclusive, the devs/publishers can easily unlock the situation by re-sending the correct build that should be used for offline installers.

SuperSamus: Doom 3 BFG needs an amend: it did get (albeit later) the update for the refresh rate: I can select 144 Hz on my monitor, I'm not stuck to 120 Hz like the internet says.
Multiplayer notes remain.

Speaking of multiplayer, Doom (2016) should be in the list as well.
It lacks both the Multiplayer and the SnapMap modes. (Though the cosmetics unlockable in the latter are unlocked by default.)
Thanks a lot for the updates.

But what's exactly the situation for Doom 3? Because the store says:

Note: This game may require an additional serial key for multiplayer mode. In case it is not automatically generated in your GOG.com library (open it via website → select the game → More → Serial Keys), please reach out to our Support team.

So that means that GOG provides a key for multiplayer but still requires players to use console commands to activate it?

Doom 2016 technically is a lesser version but the store page is clear and upfront about the missing content versus the community effort this post is about for games that are on this platform.

The current digital bundle of Doom 3 contains both the original 2004 release and the 2012 BFG Remaster. The serial keys are only for the original version; there are none for the BFG Remaster.

Before the release of the Doom 3 bundle, GOG was only offering the BFG Edition with a notice that it was a single-player only game.
https://web.archive.org/web/20211222184522/https://www.gog.com/en/game/doom_3_Bfg_edition

After the release of the bundle, the notice seems to have disappeared, so who knows if it's even true anymore.
Once again I ask for Northgard to be included in this list.

They just updated it (for free) to Northgard: Definitve Edition on Steam, there's no news that GoG Northgard will turn to Definive Edition too, and so far it doesn't look like it will.

At the moment GoG Northgard is unusable multiplayer wise, crashing out when trying to search for MP games, since the servers expect the latest DE version of the game, and most everybody else is already on Northgard: DE.

Needless to say this latest Northgard: DE is most likely über buggy and unstable as is customary on all major Northgard patches.

All this is on top of the many previous grievances Northgard has inflicted on GoG customers such as the lack of ingame map editor or the many, many delayed patch releases for Northgard (on) GoG customers.

Sorry, just to be clear: you know for sure that the serial key works only for the original Doom 3 and not for the BFG Remaster? Or you're guessing that's the case but you don't know it for sure yet?

Northgard was never removed from the list anyway.

The definitive edition just got released here.

In the library, Doom 3 (2004) has a "Serial Keys" section, but Doom 3 BFG doesn't (and it also didn't have one when it was the only version available).
Tangledeep should be removed from "Missing Updates" column. It's on the newest version (1.53k), same as on Steam.

In truth, the current entry (which was added long before I started working on the list) claimed that it was still possible to enable Multiplayer through console commands, even though there was no official support for it (case in point, no serial keys provided by GOG). Do you know whether this is no longer case?

And just to be extra sure, could it be that the serial keys for the original Doom 3 actually work for the BFG edition as well?

Installer has not been updated for years, so far. So, as an user of installers my green light is not there yet.

Clarification: The Steam version of BFG Edition doesn't use serial keys for multiplayer. Serial keys are exclusive to the original 2004 version of Doom 3 (and its expansion pack). So, in the current list, what should be changed is the title from "DOOM 3" to "DOOM 3: BFG Edition"

About multiplayer in the GOG version of BFG Edition. The option to select Multiplayer has been disabled in-game but the content is still available, so with the proper console commands it is possible to create LAN matches. Only LAN is possible, not online.

I see on GOGDB that both offline installers and Galaxy builds are at 1.53a. So I'm understanding that the version 1.53k is still available for download for GOG users, but there's no way to have the game installed already at version 1.53k?

I use the same exact name of GOG store so that it will be detected by the "2nd class helper" extension. Of course, in the case of bundles, I will specify in the entry which game exactly is affected by the issue in question, in this case I'll explain that the issue is about the BFG Edition.

AQUARIST

Updated to Version "Full Release 1.0161" - GOG Galaxy and Offline Installer.

I suppose this is the latest (although I don't know the Steam version number).

A lot of confusion here... take a look at this:

https://steamdb.info/app/628770/patchnotes/

GOG is still at 1.53a according to my installer... for years. The build has not been updated since 18.3.2022, which is verified on GOGdb.

https://www.gogdb.org/product/1703478259#builds

The fixed and newest version is 1.53k, which is still missing on the installer.

So, nope... it can not become removed on the list. So far my installer is not able to verify any update. I dunno about Galaxy... i try to get me a proof.

Galaxy and Installers are not always on par, so it might be possible that they have different versions. How it comes... no need to ask me... as i am not the inventor of this system. As far as i know, the process should be "automated" based on the Galaxy-build, but it is able to fail due to unknown reasons and in general the installers are always "behind".

Sure, it might be possible that they removed 1.53a, adding 1.53k in between, and then removed it and added 1.53a again... on GOG such stuff is possible, by sheer experience. I just can say what i currently am able to verify.
