ZFR: Another issue to consider is: Mafia don't know the full setup and if there are any 3rd parties. By conceding early you could be causing a Neutral Lyncher or a Scum SK to lose too for example.

Still dragging it on could be a pain, since we tend to go days and days discussing same thing
I imagine if that was the case the mod might not accept them conceding... although that then might clue them in that there's something up. I'd just never let the mafia concede on principle. They can out themselves in the game if they really want to, but I'll still make the town lynch them. :P

ZFR: without making quick decisions.
Well I think you speak for all of us apart from yourself there. ;)
I would have not let them concede without letting on there was a neutral in play, or I would have let the neutral win with Town if it wasn’t possible to do that.
Great game and flavour. Thanks. Very interesting to read.

Not fully thought through question:
Mafia could have won, if Joe and Dedo had switched their claim? So Joe would have gotten lynched, but Dedo as the real Bookie could have predicted that and maybe would have been able to kill two town N2 (depending on what the doctor does, I guess)?

my name is coole catte: I see your point there, the difference between the slimmest chance imaginable and no chance. Still, in this game I would rather have had a short night just to see what dedo would do (who would he kill? Looks like it was going to be me in the event of a no-lunch).
I would have shot myself, obviously.

I would have been interested to see if trent would honour that! It would have been a more exciting end (for town) for sure.

Given how the game went for us I think he would have cut us some slack. But I do feel quite bad you guys didn't get an exciting end. It must be such a bummer you weren't able to keep curbstomping us a bit longer.

Dedo's prediction for the D2 lunch was me (and if I was lunched then they would have even without that). Although you're onto something, I think that betting the other one would get lynched is a solid strategic move there. If I'm ever a mafia bookie I'll bet against my teammates so we get a consolation shot if we lose someone.

We didn't quite know how hard we were kerbstomping you though because we thought you must be more powerful than you were! :S

At the time we were still counting on a fair game where we'd have at least one more night before we start to get worried and consider wasting shots. Everyone and there mother wasn't still confirmed in 1+ ways. Banking on your teammate's death when it's not needed is counterproductive. One should only do that at the end to seal the game, not that early on.

I would have. And made you wait 24 hours for the Night. Then extend it till Monday because I'm away for the weekend.

Thanks, I didn't have time to check mafia and observer thread yet, so I didn't know who got predicted (and everything) and that idea just popped up in my head. Glad to hear, that it doesn't seem to be a universal "entirely out there" one. But still ... a matter of timing/planning/predicting how the game will procede.

It really looks like the "double Desperado" was very unfortunate. Stuff happens, I guess.

2 questions:

@Joe, when I thought (and rightfully so I might add) Vitek was a liar and voted him. Why didn't you hammer? Most of the blame next Day would have fallen at me?

@BJG: what was it that you had to clarify with trent regarding your role? Or was that misdirection too?

I hadn't realised there was a new page :/

I'm not sure I'd have had the guts to do it even if I did know. But yeah. My first ":0" was in response to nmillar "why weren't you in your room?" the second was to him getting shot

It was not our role, but our modifier that was the key to clearing Catte of being the N1 killer. We were not allowed to reveal our modifier per se, but we verified the only way Tweety would have been saved is if a redirector was in play. If Pookina or anyone had roleblocked Catte we would not have seen what we saw.

Hope you do play again some time BJ! The detail of your analysis is mildly horrifying, I'd love to see yous in action again.

Hope B's feeling better too.

We are trying to figure out if B has had a bad reaction to the meds or if it is something else, which is why we had to take him 2 hours away to another lab for additional testing just as the deadline for D2 counted down. He is currently resting but his temp is returning. :(
