Vote Bookwyrm
There is quite some posts to go through so I'm going to address things as I go through them - this may result in redundancies where others talked about the same in later posts. I'm only going to go back and revise major things.

blotunga: Et tu Brute?
I don't even care about you jumping to Microfish. For some reason you act like Yesterday didn't happen and are so surprised that people who were suspicious of you and ended the voting for you continue to do the same. So far there hasn't been any meaningful new development since Yesterday to change my mind on you.

avatar
blotunga: It's nor a script. Regarding my Bookwyrm vote and logoff, I did log off, and knew the deadline is coming. Amd at that point I really had no better leads so I didn't care whether Bookwyrm or Yos get lynched. Unfortunately none did. If I were sure Yos's wagon had a better chance, I probably would've voted him.
You logged off when things were starting to shift to you and you were just as, if not more likely lynch.

Microfish_1: If the Rolecop is scum, yikes. I don't know if such a thing is possible, but...at least it prevents scum from getting a useful-to-scum role?
That would only prove that you are really Vanilla and failed at getting Rolecop, wouldn't it? Also, is Rolecop really the most scum-useful role out there considering the lack of usual alignment restraints for the roles?

avatar
Microfish_1: Read my statement from the perspective (which I had) of "rolecop finds alignment", and you will eminently see why I though it could not be a scum role. In case anyone reading this didn't/doesn't get my thinking, I was thinking:

"Rolecop shows alignment. A role which shows alignment is useless for scum; they would already know who the scum are, and all non-scum are the enemies of the scum. Therefore, Rolecop is Town-only, they could investigate me and prove my innocence."
The normal Cop is literally the first on the role list. You have to have seen it there. How did you manage to get the impression that there are 2 roles that act in the exact same way? Or did you think that Rolecop is Cop that gets the role on top of the alignment? Talk about power creep.

avatar
blotunga: If I were scum I would've claimed an actual power role, but it might be risky if someone else can counter, so I still think you might be scum.
Huh?

avatar
blotunga: What did trent write that made you think there are more than 2 factions? I'm sure I'd recognize it if you'd quote it.
But you won't be able to without him quoting it? You sly fox, you!

avatar
ZFR: TT: Micro is a townie who played badly, and yogsloth is a townie who genuinely saw a "derpclear".
FT: Micro is a scum who screwed up, and yogsloth is a townie who genuinely took the screwup to be a "derpclear".
TF: Micro is a townie who played badly, and yogsloth is a scum who, seeing the wagon proceeding steadily towards an inevitable lynch, wanted to keep his hands clean after Micro flips town.
What is F in the abbreviations? Obviously it's an antagonizing faction but I'm curious what the letter stands for. Apparently it's not Mafia, nor Scum, nor Anti-Town.

avatar
Microfish_1: In fact, up to and including this point, I don't expect there to be more than 2 vanilla people, including myself.
What is you stance on Flub and yogsloth then?

Finally caught up.

There are a few things that I've gotten out of this (it's possible these aren't the best things in there but it's what I got, so yeah):

- I can't see Micro and Blotunga being scum together;
- I feel like believing Micro;
- Blotunga is still at the top of my scum list;
- Wyrm is annoying me as his adamant insistence on wanting to take Micro out makes is making my brain hurt;

...

False? Because T is True.

I was doing booleans for work and that's why I must have subconsciously used it. But you're right; I meant Mafia.
Ah, OK. I just assumed T is for Town :)
There is something on my mind with Microfish. How likely is it, that he uses the same talk as Supplementscene last game to explain his actions? And how likely it is that he uses it fully knowing what they mean? I know how I sounded later in the beginning and I whas not fully of my mind so because the first vote from last game let me unconscionessly write the same like Supplement last game because it whas so "impressing". I am more likely now to believe that he fucked up. But the joke is, this happened Blotunga early in the game too and because everyone ignored this mistake we kept ignoring him and lost. So I am back to the start about if I should take it as mistake or not.

Microfish_1: 2 or 3 of these 8 are scum (or neutral), what is so bad about starting out by looking for 1 (or more) scum in each group? You focus differently on those you know than on complete unknowns. That is basically what I meant by that list/grouping.
Newbie Tip:
While sorting people by groups according to whether you've played with them is a natural sort order (and I have no issue with it), you need to be very wary of sorting people into groups by whether you've played with them and then (as a follow-up step) assuming scum is distributed among those same groups.

You might well be correct that each group has at least one scum, but only by luck.

avatar
Microfish_1: 2a) I never said Pooka voted on you.
Okay, this is technically true; you said "Scum!Book says 'Pooka's main suspect is Yog, but he voted me at the last. This is bad.'"

From this, I would infer one of four things:
1) You thought Pooka voted for me.
2) You didn't think Pooka voted for me, but you thought that I thought Pooka voted for me. (The incompetance this implies on my part would make me sad.)
3) You were throwing shade at me.
4) ...?

Which is the case?

avatar
Microfish_1: I intrepreted this as "I want you to flip your vote from Book to Blot." I did, and felt a bit betrayed (not to say weirded-out) when you didn't vote for Blot. It seems like you were pushing me to do your dirty work for you.
Ah. I see how you were interpreting "flip" now. I was using the mafia specific meaning of "flip", where the mod reveals your alignment because you are dead.

avatar
Microfish_1: 2c) You are miss-representing me. At the time I did not say that "every role was available for anyone to take," I said, "I think it obvious that with 17 PRs spread among 10 players, most everyone has a PR"--not all, but most players.
'Every role was available for anyone to take" was in reference to you saying things like "If the Rolecop is scum, yikes. I don't know if such a thing is possible" (Post 342) and "I did not think that rolecop could be scum." (Post 355).

avatar
Microfish_1: Is my logic really as faulty as you think it is? I'd be interested to talk post-game about it, I guess.
If it were only a mistake here or there (like mixing up role cop and cop) with some space in between, then I wouldn't be bothered. When they start rapidly stacking up, and you are using certain implications to push for someone's lynch (see above), then the scrunity gets more serious.

avatar
Microfish_1: If you all feel that way perhaps I should be replaced?
=====
Somewhat out of game comments:
No, absolutely not. Play it out, do your best, and try to learn for the future. Let me assure you that in prior games I've screwed up far more heavily than you have here (assuming these are indeed mistakes and not some ploy).

In relation to us, town!wyrm's job is to push for your lynch on heavy suspicion of you being scum.
Town!Micro's job is to avoid getting lynched (if town is lynching town!you, then town isn't lynching scum).
=====

On the bright(?) side, if you do flip town then we have confirmation that a Role Cop is out there. Good on you for noting your role bid alongside your vanilla claim.

avatar
Microfish_1: When i am proven town, what will your opinion of Yog be then?
You flipping town doesn't say anything about Yog's alignment. I could see him declining your lynch as town!yog or scum!yog.

avatar
Microfish_1: Town, look to your win condition; it does not refute the possibility of a 3rd-party.
Newbie tip: Be advised that the win condition is often worded in such a way that it does not deny the existance of neutrals, so it should not be used as evidence for/against the existance of neutrals.

avatar
yogsloth: Vote Bookwyrm
Ooo. I'm getting prettier by the second.

avatar
dedoporno: - Wyrm is annoying me as his adamant insistence on wanting to take Micro out makes is making my brain hurt;
Most people don't seem interested in his lynch, so there isn't much point in my staying here either.

I'm putting Blotunga on notice about his imminent L-1 status, without actually putting him there yet. The bolding is for my fellow players, not for you; my apologies.

The unvote is in preparation for a later vote.

I will die for this next night most likely but here we go:
You are Eyeore, Town Watcher
Powers: Your have the ability each Night to watch someone to determine if they were visited and by who
Win condition: Your team wins when there are no more threats to town

In the first night I watched dedo. Nobody visited him. I can't add more to this. It's up to you if you lynch me or not, if you do, please make the best of it.
And i didn't log off because it was convenient, but because it was late and I'm in a different time zone. I also have a little kid whom I have to take to kindergarten each morning.

I'm still unsure about the scum so I won't yet vote.
