ZFR: If I'm right, mafia make roughly 25% of players. 25% of 10 is 2.5; just as close to 3 as 2.
avatar
Bookwyrm627: 3 mafia means game could end (barring role intervention) on N2.

Make it 2 mafia and maybe let them talk during role selection. Boom, slightly more power without town only getting 1 mislynch (barring role intervention).

Therefore, it is only 2 mafia. Quid pro quo, ipso facto, proof done. Lets move on.
There were 2 (one, two: two) role interventions last game, where town was defense-weak (conditional doctor, machismo townie, 1 useless player who was policy-lynched D1...). In a game where Town can have a doctor, cop, roleblocker, vig and JOAT on top of that, it's prsctically guaranteed the game won't go lynch-NK-lynch-NK... etc. Town can easyly get more than 1 mislynch chance.

Nolo contendre, habeas corpus, proof undone. I'd rather assume there 3 mafioso and have it turn out wrong than the other way round. I'll agree though with the "lets move on".

Or, as Yog noted, a 3 member mafia that manages to score the JOAT and Vig could win on N1.

Anyway. What are your thoughts on some other players?

Bookwyrm627: So when you first ask a question related to names (granted, somewhat tangentially), then later comment to the effect of "why are we still talking about names?", I raise an eyebrow.
The second time was a whole new transgression that potentially disclosed even more information that doesn't need to be made public.

dedoporno: Korotan (his last post took me a few readings but after I figured out what he was saying I actually liked it) are scum.
avatar
ZFR: Why?

To be honest it reinforced my vibe of a newbie caught in an unfamiliar situation. When found out non voting is "bad" he quickly changed it to a vote. Again like someone just trying to quickly finish through day1 and get help at night.

Yes, granted he could be neutral, but him bringing it up immediately so quickly doesn't help. "Hey, Im in an unfamiliar zone, but I could be a neutral!" reminds me of scene's "Hey Im a cop, but I could be insane" last game.

What is it about his post that you liked.
I did so quickly because Bookwyrms, just vote on everyone who is not voting because I want blood is what hit a nerve from me. Either she is to eager and has no controll over herself or it is calcuted move. Either way it is not good from my opinion because like I said before if we want to find we should just observe could and rational. Blind lynch will us getting only faster over.

About my I could be neutral it is because of how I go on this game. From the fluff here if I understand corrrectly no ingame live is on the balance if you are not the culprit. If the sheriff does not found it in my hotel room he will just let me go and I can live on. Because I do not have it and this is just a stay where you are until the investigation is running I do not care if the true culprit is found or not. I just want to stay as long and hone my (weak) argumenting and detection skills. Yes mayby it is silly to change attitude because of fluff but...whatever. (I have a fealing that in english there should be a but and something else behind it but I can not grasp what)

Bookwyrm627: I don't even feel bad about this one.
Why?

You voted dedo because he's not voting, but the "I dont even feel bad about it" means you actually have other reasons against him?

Asking because dedo gives me the most town vibes so far.

Pre post edit:
To answer your question

Dedo- as per above mostly town
Korotan - as per my post above

Micro- was mostly town. But... his two joke posts in succession (Australia boat, Capital O'Fence) are out of character for him if compared to last game, where he made none such ones. Attempt at distraction? Hiding something behind them?...

Yogsloth - I wish he'd post more. Little to go on. Gun to my head Id pick him as scum but thats just gut.

Pooka - as mentioned, struck me a tiny bit lamist in the beginnjng, but I like his response and later posts and leaning a bit town more now. From our discord games though I know hes pretty shrewed.

Joe - I wish he wouldnt joke as much, but I guess its his style; Ive seen it in all his other games. Neutral, but will vote if it is in order to avoid a no-lynch.

Flub - meh

Bookswyrm - slight town lean in the beginning but you're now extremely close to "will vote to avoid no lynch" bucket.

Blotunga - had to check to see whom Im missing. Very lurky so far. Willing to vote.

dedoporno: Still not voting until I see what else (if anything) ZFR has to say. Also, Pooka. If they take longer though I'll have to do it after work.
I think I pretty much covered everything I wanted to say. Do you want to ask me about anything else in particular?
avatar
dedoporno: The second time was a whole new transgression that potentially disclosed even more information that doesn't need to be made public.
Noted. In the interest of keeping conversation flowing, I'll post this and then go back and review the exchange.

Korotan: Either she is to eager
Yes.

avatar
Korotan: and has no controll over herself
Somewhat yes. KILL KILL KILL

avatar
Korotan: or it is calcuted move.
Yes.

avatar
Korotan: Blind lynch will us getting only faster over.
So don't blind lynch. Think about where you should vote, then do so. Force mafia to take a stance and be answerable for it. See how you are now being forced to defend your vote? Town wants mafia to have to do that. Don't let them float airily to an uncontested victory.

Tis a feeling. As Flub would say, it is probably gas.

As per above, I'll post this first, then go back for citation points for why I'm feeling suspicious.

ZFR: Joe - I wish he wouldnt joke as much, but I guess its his style; Ive seen it in all his other games. Neutral, but will vote if it is in order to avoid a no-lynch.
I sense some obfuscating stupidity from that slot.

I wouldn't know what to do with myself if I weren't on people's "would kill" list. The trick, as always, is not tipping over into people's "would kill now" list.

ZFR: Why?
I have pavlovian suspicion for certain players, and Dedo is one of them. He's too slippery for me to do otherwise.

Dedo looked to be staying on the outskirts of discussion, with post 63 being one of the first revelations of what he is thinking, though he did have a relevant question for me in post 38.

Also, I had the impression he participated more in the names mess than he actually did. Speaking of which, I formally retract my "um" about his names commentary; I'm satisfied with his explanation.

And now I have to decide whether using my vote to try and pressure Dedo to vote somewhere is worthwhile. I'm pretty sure he won't be affected, and he isn't near the top of my list (such as it is).

I don't mind getting voted if you think it's a good vote but you are right that bullying into voting most likely won't work. I do promise that I will vote in a couple of hours though. I just want to get back home and have enough time to look at everyone again properly and make up my mind which isn't as easy by stealing moments at the office.

As stated earlier, I want to see where people are willing to commit, even if that ends up being me.

I'll accept your assurance that you'll be voting soon.

Time to do my own review.

ZFR: ...........

"will vote to avoid no lynch" bucket.

..........
That's my uncle....he's kind of a creep.
avatar
Korotan: Okay mayby I am not the same as before because the last game burned so much into me, that I am preoccupied about [JoeSapphire] and Blotunga.
You have provided basically no input so far.

What is it about Joe and Blotunga that is bothering you?

Besides my pushing you to vote, what do you think about what has happened so far? Who do you suspect to be scum? Why? Sharing is caring.

Microfish_1: poke
Looking over your posts, you also don't have much to say. Who makes you suspicious? Who gives you warm fuzzy feelings of safety?

Why shouldn't we just kill you? "If you're gonna stay, you're gonna work!"

---

The erraticness of Joe, with actions not matching words, combined with some POE makes me think he might be a good candidate for removal.

Unvote Dedo
Vote Joe

Not that I'm complaining (that's a lie, I'm totally complaining), but why me?
