DaCostaBR: Trailer Of course, it's a CGI trailer, so we have no idea when it's coming out or how it will play, and we all know how much Square Enix likes to announce games, not so much release them. Let us never forget that Final Fantasy Versus XIII was announced
9 years ago, and since then we got a name change, two demos and still no release date.
Personally I always thought 7 was merely okay, but I'm more interested in seeing what they plan to do with it, and what people want from it.
Do you want the exact same game just with updated visuals? In that case is there really a point in remaking it? On the other hand, I can imagine how angry a lot of people will be if you mess with it in any way. How should they go about it with this remake?
But no need to hurry in answering it. You probably have at least 5 years until release to come up with an answer.
I always thought a remake of FF7 is odd.
Is it gonna be a faithful remake? Am I gonna fight those "Weapons" Superbosses?
Am I gonna do that chocobo mini game?
Is it gonna play like Kingdom Hearts/Final Fantasy XV?
How are certain sequences gonna work? Are they gonna keep that part where Cloud and the gang actually had to run 30+ stairs in the tower?
Remaking FF7 is gonna be like Remaking X-Com into a shooter.
Breja: I don't much [random encounter] like JRPGs, but I gave [random encounter] Final Fantasy VII a shot, just to see [random encounter] what all the fuss was about. It was fine [random encounter] but after playing for what seemed like eternity [random encounter] I got really tired and rather bored of it [random encounter] for some reason, and I didn't even get to Aeris' death [random encounter]. So no, not even if I had PS 4 would I be interested.
Than Final Fantasy XII is your game because no random encounters.
