Hmm, I was actually wondering if there are any other Dreamfall Chapters backers in here, whom might know whether one can secure his copy of the game yet like with Obsidian on Pillars? Or has it yet to reach that point? :)

Has any major indiegogo campaign ever succeeded? Every time one comes up in this thread, I think "Welp, that's doomed to fail" before I even click on the link. This one has $391 out of $6000 with 5 days remaining (flexible funding).

Fran Bow, to which I gladly contributed, succeeded :)
Those guys here... well, it seems they have an interesting idea for a game but totally lack PR skills.

Popular online webcomic artist Kickstarts a book; earns $51,000 after asking for $8000.

Two years later, popular online webcomic artist has some kind of mental breakdown, posts a long, incoherent screed about the evils of capitalism,declares that he will never refund his backers or ship out the books, posts videos of himself burning the books that he's already had printed.

I will be interested in seeing how Kickstarter reacts to this, if they choose to address it at all.

I got scammed by that fuckface. I'm done backing random projects. If Jason Scott, Unwoman, Stonehaven or the python people ask for money, I'll pay. Otherwise, screw that noise.

update: aaaaaand I'm banned on kickstarter, which is entirely intentional, because why would I want to be present on a site which bans the victim of a scam.

The responses from backers are interesting, less anger and upsetedness (is that even a word?) then I had expected.
