I heard it was pretty bad. I also wondered how the sidekick can be in the came when I thought he was dead. But maybe that is explained in the second game or something which I have not played.

Nope, it's never explained :-) The second game is an entirely different cast of characters, except Alma.

Honestly i really want to play that but i want to read Roadside Picnic and watch Stalker before playing the game :)

So they never say how he comes back? Well that sure is good writing. o_O

It is sort of explained in the second, the gist of it is: He's a ghost and has ghost powers. Which he uses to take over people's bodies and other ghost stuff.
He was in the DLC.
Which is about an hour or so long, but at least it was included here on gog.
The dlc explained it.

Ahhhh... Okay. I didn't play the DLC. At the time I played FEAR 2, it was more expensive than the base game, so I passed :-p

I could kind of accept him taking over people, due to the whole psychic stuff, but to say he is a ghost seems a little silly, and quite a cheap way of bringing him back rather than just introducing a new character.

Ahhh... Cool idea! In that case, maybe try New Vegas. A single run can be over a hundred hours :-)

Or, something short, like... a quick game of Master of Orion :-p
