I am feeling slightly better. Time to chime in.

I have an odd feeling about trent and ZFR being the only two people to claim about their role. While I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt (trent's explanation of how a tracker/watcher works makes sense if his claim is correct, and the whole thing with ZFR being the target is believable), I still can't help but think about...doing something controversial.

I am willing to vote on trent.

My idea is to check trent's flip when he gets lynched. If trent's nightkilled and he flips Town, then that means ZFR was also Town. If trent is mafia, then ZFR is also mafia. It's a high risk high reward gamble that I'm willing to shoot for. And personally if both are town, I don't think the mafia would want to night kill either, for the fear that they would be telling us the other is Town.

My theory that the mafia wouldn't want to touch them (and give us extra information) and that we would want to keep them alive puts them in a great position to false claim to be on our side.

Speaking of myself, yes, I don't have the experience to pull off the idea of scene false claiming, let alone his very obvious self-destruct. However, I can see some merit to the idea of mafia targeting you on N1, securing a lynch on any of the three with little effort involved. But that would work if you're either town and telling us the truth, or playing a really long game as mafia.

On other people, I am also once again willing to go with one of the things Lift said about HSL; he seems to question a lot but not show much of his thoughts outside them. Could be being new to this game and I'm not paying that much attention to detail, could be that his posts makes it hard to find them out. I'll give him credit that he is doing a pretty excellent job of being as Town as could be; questioning every little thing and double checking on things we said for clarification...which also puts him in the perfect position as scum. To compare to Secret Hitler; it's like when we suspect a very Liberal player of being Hitler.

Finally, blotunga looks more suspicious than he was before; but I'm reserving my judgement on him until after we figure out whether ZFR/trent are Town or Mafia. In part because it relies on ZFR's theory that blotunga is scum who was subconsciously looking for ZFR in Joe's text, and everything else he said about him.



So, what do you guys think of my idea about voting on trent? Do you agree or disagree with it, and why?

I post again what I think of Trent. I absolutely can not believe he is a Villain. When I jumped from one "Fettnäpfechen" (sorry do not know the right englisch word for it) to another he and HSL where those who stepped in for me and said I am just a beginner who has it not out yet instead of being a traitor who is to opportunistic. If they where not on our side they could have just stand there and let me dig my grave any further whith trying to get a grip on what is even going on. So while there is the possibility, that he is playing big and it whas a calculated move I am not believing it so no my vote will you not get for it.

So, would scum!Trent claim Tracker knowing that, given the Ninja, there is a very good chance the real Tracker would easily counter-claim? Why, so they out the real Tracker? Losing a second mafia just to out a weak power role at this stage is very bad for mafia.

Your whole idea of voting trent stinks badly.

So you want to lynch me as a "test" and then you'll make up your mind about Blotunga, but in the meantime you've also positioned yourself to vote Hyper as he's asking questions and appearing to be so town that you think he's scum.

There is some merit in your words, but both HSL and trent are veteran players who even if scum would know that voting a newbie would be seen as suspicious later. And buddy up to you instead.

With regards to Pooka's "lynch Trent as a test" theory, it's pretty risky. We're MYLO or LYLO so it's not instant lose territory but I think it's better to vote for someone you think is scum rather than voting for someone entirely for the purposes of testing.

What I mean is, they would not have to vote for me. It would have been just enough to say nothing about it from my point of view.

It's not quite as clear cut for me because I am not one of the two of you (you and Trent). I'm still entertaining the possibility that you're both scum and the joint claim is something you agreed to in the night. It feels unlikely as Trent would almost certainly be counterclaimed if he was lying.

If I was scum Korotan was an easy lynch Day 1, but I actually can tell what he’s trying to say the majority of the time and he’s felt like a new town player trying to figure the game out. Also, I don’t subscribe to the notion that lynching new players on Day 1 is bad form. I believe in the school of hard knocks. Best way to learn is from your mistakes, so if you get lynched Day 1 then look at why and improve upon it. So when I’m scum don’t expect to see me trying to save new players because it’s what most people think.

So, about that deadline, Joe... ?


I want to hold off voting till HSL posts.

For me the choices are between SPF, Pooka, and blotunga. Whatever internet issues Hyper is having I hope he’s able to get them resolved today :-/

Unfortunately things are still not really resolved, I'm at a friend's right now and off to catch up as quickly as possible (my friend's got plans for later, so can't overstay my welcome).

In such a situation I usually act as if I'm at my place and it's the friend who's overstaying their welcome.
