IAmSinistar: Just now discovered this post (and the forum rules) a month late. But then, I'd pretty much given up on the GOG forums about half a year ago, so kind of surprising I found it at all. Still, better late than never, and kudos for trying to re-establish the spirit of community that once reigned here.
I'm forced to agree with this, though I'm mostly a ghost here anyways because of it.

I quit reporting anyone when I started swearing again, realizing it makes me a hypocrite. Given the way I act in here, any attempt by myself to report someone else would probably only get myself banned.

You got nailed because someone else has had enough of your crap. Sorry to break it to you, but there are people other than myself who realize what a worthless bag of shit troll you are. :P

I just decided to stop by on a whim, and found these rules. I doubt they can be enforced, but the effort to restore the community to what it used to be is commendable.

Agreed, the foulness can really gain the upperhand when one is not dilligent enough to stop it, or at the least deter it!

In actual fact, the main issue is the General Discussion forum. All other subforums are very nice, have incredibly helpful and insightful posts that are always on topic.

So, you know gog.com could save time and money by simply shutting the General Discussion forum down. Fables22 would perhaps not lose the job, but the job would be far easier.

Steam doesn't have a General Discussion forum. Imagine if they did. Oh boy.

Gog.com simply has grown to large to sustain a free forum of super friendly and non-trolly variety. Discussions here should be on games that are sold here, that's about it. Everything else is a luxury.
