Ancient-Red-Dragon: That doesn't necessarily mean that they are uncensored. Rather, it could just mean that the devs self-censored their art, starting at the concept art stage.

And I think such self-censorship is precisely what many of the complainers about the censorship in that game could be talking about.

So when you say the game is "not censored," maybe we are applying different definitions of what "censored" means.

I, and no doubt many others, consider self-censorship by the devs to be a form of censorship, which is just as bad as any other. These same devs self-censored Mary Skelter: Finale, for example, by toning down the suggestiveness of its outfits and such things as compared vs. the previous two games in that series which feature more risque themes.

That --- self-censorship by the devs -- is why Mary Skelter: Finale was released on PS4 in the West, yet Mary Skelter 2 (which the devs didn't self-censor) never was, since with MS2 they refused to pander to Sony's censorship policies, but with MS3, they did. But they simply did it to themselves before Sony demanded it from them. That doesn't make MS3 be "uncensored" though, just because the devs self-censored it.

So, to avoid the muddy definitions of "censorship," one could always rephrase the question to : have the outfits and other suggestive themes been toned down in DERQ 2 compared vs. how suggestive & risque they are in DERQ 1?

So GOG sees that it is a GOG data base error and not a simple "account problem". :(

Darvond: Yes, the very same! A fine game that deserves better than an abandoned iOS port.

_Auster_: Trying to keep it short:
-The Japanese version for the PS4 released before Sony changed their censorship policies for worst
-Then the Asia version for the PS4 coincided to release around the same time Sony enforced more censorship on the games on the platform and demanded this version to be censored before release
-Game came out super broken, to the point downloading the free DLCs was impossible without some really weird workarounds and the game became a grindfest because one of the things removed affected gameplay
-Having the JP version made uncensored it easy to see that the game was censored
-West version for the PS4 was cancelled shortly after
-If I remember right, Nintendo also announced they'd stop enforcing censorship on third party titles not too long before that
-There was a surprise announcement for a Switch release of the West version of the game some time later, and it came with all the contents as the JP version from the PS4

But as a side not, some characters had their outfits reworked, and they seem less revealing now. Still, the game is pretty much as risqué as the game we got here on GOG and in the PS Vita.
