How bad are the translations in these games?

There is a lot of upheaval about translations and how they have become political, but I have yet to see any from Idea factory. I'd rather be cautious than waste my money funding one of those leftist parasites.

I see that new releases have achievements.

Are they going to update previous releases as well?

The entire "Neptunia Re;Birth" series has no achievements on GOG.

Why are some of these games missing Galaxy Achievements (at least according to what the GOG store pages for those games say)? I.e. the Death end re;Quest games.

Yet other ones of these games are not.

They should all be having Galaxy Achievements if the Steam versions have them (which they do for the Death end re;Quest games).

These are games I would definitely buy if they have Galaxy Achievements, but I cannot if they are going to treat GOG customers like second-class citizens by excluding them.

And their apparent exclusion from some of these games also makes me wonder if I should neglect buying the other games in the list that do (thankfully) have Achievements even though I'm interested in those games too, since I don't like the idea of supporting devs/publishers who sometimes don't give their GOG games feature parity, even if other times, they do.
Since nobody answered yet, I ask again:
Which of those games are truly turn based?

I get your stance but if they are just missing outside of game Achievements... I don't care as if everything else is there is perfectly fine by me as I grew up back when achievements for games was not a thing or very rare and usually if there was it was in game achievements that also gave you some cool unlock for doing some specific task.. Thus as long as the achievents aren't tied to in game unlocks or in game achievements aren't missing but the just for show outside of game ones are lacking I don't care

I also just noticed that Death end re;Quest 2 is missing "Controller Support" from the Feature List on GOG, yet on Steam it does have Controller Support.

Is that just an error on the GOG store page of how it's listed?

And what about Achievements, maybe these games do have them but they are listed incorrectly as not having them?

Can anyone confirm whether or not these Death end re;Quest games are indeed missing Galaxy Achievements?

I only played Moero Chronicle out of those, but I can confirm this one is 100% turn based.

Also, nice to see more IF games DRM free after so long (now they just need to stop making their games tamer and tamer to appease Sony)
About Death End re;Quest 1, did they ever fix the lag issue caused by the internal resolution being always on max?

The "normal" "Fairy Fencer F" is still missing. I thought it would be included in "Advent Dark Force" but it seems I am wrong? Do we miss much? I hope GOG brings that one, too...

EDIT: it seems to be included or the other one is an "enhanced and prolonged" version.

Another question: I just read that Death end re;Quest 2 suffers from both:

a) many bugs & glitches on the PC version and also

b) censorship issues, especially with the outfits from the returning characters from the first game who have had their outfits censored in the second game.

According to what I've read about this censorship controversy so far, it seems like the devs fixed two of the outfits of the returning characters in order to uncensor them, but still left the rest censored, and then stopped making further efforts to uncensor the game fully.

But I don't know if that information is correct or not.

Can anyone who is an expert on these games please clarify whether or not Death end re;Quest 2 still suffers from bugs & glitches & censorship?

Likewise, are any of these other games buggy and/or censored too, or not?

Death end re;Quest 2
Super Neptunia RPG

Dragon Star Varnir
Are these JRPG's in the traditional sense, say, like the Final Fantasy series, for example ?.

Edit: Did a bit of research, and all are pretty much traditional JRPG's (except Super Neptunia RPG*) with slightly differing takes on combat mechanics.

*which is a 2D platform game, with button mashing real-time combat mechanics.

And on that note, two of the cheaper games above have been purchased, and the remaining (except Super Neptunia RPG) have been added to my wish-list, for a possible future purchase... :)

From what I remember of the issue (it's been a while), they only fixed the returning characters, yes, but some people pointed out that the new characters had what appeared as some low effort censorship. Idea Factory's excuse was that they didn't keep a parallel, uncensored build of the game. They also said something about not having much resources to uncensor the characters, but I don't remember if it was related to uncensoring the new characters or something else.

One example of this "low effort censorship", taken from the promotional images in its Steam store page:
https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1266220/ss_d38918ff604d236c91fde22bab4cf549ef1fe6ea.1920x1080.jpg
(IF be like "we can't have bare skin in an underboob cleavage, so let's slap some green textures and pretend it's clothing")

And the game's last update on Steam according to SteamDB is from September 2020 while the discussions about censorship are far more recent, so it likely never got fully patched.

Talking about Idea Factory and censorship, has Agarest 2's missing DLCs and its alleged censorship ever been addressed?

I have had DERQ 2 on steam since release.

a) 2 major bugs that have since been patched out completely. i was able to 100% the game with no issue.

b) i got it on steam specifically because they went out of their way to undo the censorship applied on the PS4 version. (switch version also uncensored as a btw). All outfits of the returning characters are identical to how they were in the first game.

None of the other games on this list are censored in any way. Tho i cannot vouch for the quality of the pc ports for some as i do not own them on pc.

EDIT: typos and stuff.
