I can't access that page, as i've said earlier. It always times out. Could you possibly upload the version that works somewhere else and link me to it?

Thank you very much
This fix worked for me too with the exception of one big issue. Every point in the menues is missing the writing, so they are just empty boxes which makes the game unplayable for me.
I have the same problem. I added the wine3D-file and the d3d9-file, and it fixed the flickering video problem. But added the problem of removing the text from every textbox, in every menu.

Try download WineD3D from this page instead:

It worked for me at least.

Thank you for the advice! I have the black screen problem too and I will try this out!

Dear Gog team, please fix this game. This problem has been reported for a while now.

Edit:
I confirm that this fix works! Also, I would like to add:

To run the game in full screen, go to the config.ini file and change the following line:

bFullScreen=0

to

bFullScreen=1

I was having this issue just now. I've tried wine3d, but that makes the game take a long time to start.

What worked for me was disabling fullscreen optimizations in the compatibility tab.

This is with a GTX 1080.
Still an issue...

Specs:
Windows 10 Build 17655.180420.1850
Nvidia STRIX ROG GTX 1060 OC 6GB VRAM
Nvidia Driver: 397.93

Without the "FIX" = game videos don't play. UI elements don't show up in-game.

With the LATEST VERSION OF THE WINED3D "FIX" = the game renders videos correctly, the UI icon appears in-game ... but suddenly THE FONTS disappear! Game stays 'broken'.

The game has UI issues, or rather the D3D Renderer has issues with Win10 OS.

- Compatibility mode changes do nothing, in this case.
- Config.ini changes don't change the missing font issue.

SOLUTION IN MY CASE = USING WINED3D VERSION 2.6!
(2.7 did not work for me. No "Windows Compatibility Mode tinkering needed at all. Just drop the dlls into the Dracula 3 exe folder, as mentioned in comments above).

Here is the official WineD3D repository with the latest, but also the older versions:

http://downloads.fdossena.com/Projects/WineD3D/Builds/

… if former links don't work for you anymore, upcoming people, sharing this same problem.

How GOG is not addressing this issue at all, is a mystery to me. The whole 'schtick' of "Good Old Games" was about making old games compatible with modern (Windows) Operating Systems. This topic is not 'static'. Updates are needed once in a while for every good old game, to keep up with the new OS software/hardware/drivers.

read the post above yours?
Hey Folks,

the wineD3D solutions make some issues: the newest version (3.12) don't show the Text in the menue, so i used the 2.6 version, but now my game runs at an crazy low FPS, and my laptop used my Intel graphic card.
I forced him to use my Geforce GTX 960M, but it still runs at 8 FPS max.
what can i do?

MrL: I can hear the intro playing, but game window stays black, no graphics at all.
Tried all imaginable compatibility options, installed DirectX packages - nothing works.

Any ideas?
I tried all the possible solutions (WineD3D, 8bit colour restriction, dgvoodoo) but nothing worked.

Got it to run by going into the dracula3.exe file, under settings for all users

-set comp mode to XP SP3
-activated "deactivate full screen effects/enhancements" left everything else deactivated!!!
-set fullscreen to 1 in the config.ini

game suddenly worked
