You're very welcome! (Sorry it's taken so long to see this lol)
I noticed on your repaired levels of the world download you stated that some levels could not be repaired. While looking on old versions of interplays site I came across this page. It has the agitatio.hog file. As well as several other missing datafiles.

(I can't post links so I attached an image with the archive.org link)

Dude! That's an EPIC first post! Thank you so much! I've updated the Levels of the World pack :)
I managed to find the entry form for the level "seals". Maybe you could use it to get in contact with the creator. I would rather not post it here because it has a lot of personal information in it. Do you have an alternate method I could use to contact you?

EDIT: I think I may have found a method that the seals datafile could be repaired

Man, that's great! You can PM me anything on here (mouse over my picture and hit "start conversation")

Also, if you can repair the seals file, you can probably repair interim as well since I think they have the same problem.

A_Future_Pilot: Links are fixed! Whew! My brother had a copy on my old computer that I gave him :)
FYI - I own all these games physically (every variation nearly. I bought them all as they were released). If there's something you need off a disc, just respond to one of my posts here and I'll upload it somewhere for you.

Incidentally, it'd be helpful to add " (Last updated : ##/##/201#)" to the end of any files on your first post that have been altered, so anyone popping back in knows what to redownload at a glance.

Good idea! I'll do that! :) And thanks for the offer!
I'm looking around on the site and I cannot find the definitive collection anywhere. Has it been pulled down or am I just missing something?

Descent was taken down from both here and Steam due to the publisher failing to pay any royalties to the original developers for digital downloads.
You can no longer legally purchase a digital copy of Descent.

However...it's not hard to find...

Yeah. I found the posts.

Can no longer legally purchase a digital copy. Correct.
Correct also that it is not hard to find.

However, I found someone selling the original CD version of the Definitive Collection on Amazon.
Bought that. I'm going to make a separate thread because I'd like to have our awesome community collaborate on how to take the original CDs and make it work like if you had bought it from GOG, for future documentation purposes.

Can't be that difficult.
Why not use Rebirth? That way you don't need DOSBOX???

My big concern is that Rebirth is unfunded. Unless it is open source (and it might be, I just don't know yet), then it could go away one day.

If I use the original CD's in DOSBOX, which is open source as far as I know, and could be picked up by someone else if the original developers stop maintaining it, then it can be played forever by anyone who owns the CDs or the digital copy.
I answered your other thread, but I'll add here just for future reference: the Descent code was released by Parallax and Rebirth is a modification of the original code for modern computers. It's open source under the GPLv3 license.

Rebirth has been around for ages. And now with Overload being made by the original programmers of D1/2/3 we will have a true successor to the series. I use Rebirth because it works and provides higher resolutions.
