So...as it's been said several times, what we have here on GOG is not The Definitive Collection...however I have been able to track down everything that was in the Definitive Collection. Including all three versions of the original Red Book soundtracks.

_________
Basic Stuff
----------------
Here's the Levels of the World for D1 (Last updated 5/18/2017)

Here are the Extra Missions that were on the D1 CD (Thanks to rs_tsyu)

Here's the DMB2

Here's Vertigo for D2
(To install it, copy everything into your main Descent 2 directory.)
(For Rebirth put d2x.mn2 and .hog in the missions directory, and put d2x-h.mvl, descent2.ham, descent2.hog, and hoard.ham in the data directory)

_____________________________________________________
Soundtracks: (Thanks to Nitroid, rs_tsyu, ThugsRook, and Ryusei)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here are the three versions of the Red Book audio as .zip archives.

Descent II Original Release/Destination Quartzon

Descent II The Infinite Abyss/The Definitive Collection

Descent II The Vertigo Series

And here are some AddOn packs for DXX-Rebirth from rs_tsyu and ThugsRook (If you use the Rebirth installer it will give you the option to download the Definitive Collection Redbook Audio, so you don't need to download it here):

Definitive Collection Soundtrack by rs_tsyu

Definitive Collection Soundtrack with Vertigo Soundtrack by rs_tsyu

AddOn Mediafire Folder (This has all of the various soundtracks, as well as an unofficial [but soon-to-be official] hires AddOn for D1.)

To install an AddOn pack simply copy the .dxa file to DXX-Rebirth's main data directory. The game should automatically play from it when run. (Just so people know, these are zip files with a different extension, in case you want to extract them.)

I'd also suggest checking out The Enemy Within, a complete level set for D2. If you thought Vertigo's puzzles were a pain, you haven't seen nothing yet ;)

Thanks a lot for this. But I have one problem, Vertigo does not work for me, it doesn't show up on the mission select screen ingame. I did as you wrote and exctracted the files in the proper locations. Is there anything else taht needs done or is there some other problem? Any help is appreciated.
Well when I said "main" directory I meant wherever data is stored...you might have a "Data" subdirectory, depending on your port/OS.

If that still doesn't work get back to me and we'll figure it out! ;)

EDIT: Just realized that you should still see it, if you put the mn2 and hog files where your missions are stored...Ima do some digging into this and see what might be up :)

What port are you using? Or are you just using DOSBox? And what OS? :)

I'm using the GoG version with DosBox on Win7 64-bit.
I have the hog and mn2 files in the missions directory and the rest of the files in the Descent2 root directory so that shouldn't be a problem as the D2 Maximum missions run fine.
The Descent Maximum works fine???

I use DXX-Rebirth so I rarely deal with the GOG installation. When I personally run the GOG Descent I can't get any extra levels to play period. So are you sure the Descent Maximum works? This is really confusing... lol
Yeah, I'm sure.
I played around a bit with the files. If I edit the mn2 file I can get Vertigo to show up on the mission select screen but it crashes right before it loads the first level with a line saying something about the level requiring a Vertigo enhanced version of Descent2 or something like that.
Maybe that mod you use has everything patched from the get go, who knows. As I see it, the standard GoG version needs either a patch or a Vertigo installation to work, dunno how it was release back in the day. Or my computer just refuses to play it. :D
But yea, from what I tried, D2 Maximum works and so do Levels of the World for D1, I tried both.
Try this patch: http://www.dfiles.de/download/d2/patches/d2_1x_to_12.exe

Tell me if that works.
No, no difference. The patch adds one file and skips the rest because it says they are already patched.
OK, original link updated. Just download the new vertigo zip, and install it the same way...it's got more files now ;)

yeah, it works now. :)
After my experiments with it I figured it will take something like this to make it work.
Thanks for your help, I can finally play it.
You're welcome! Glad I could help! :)
The DMB2 download has been updated...the tutorial was converted from a .wri file to .rtf so you can open it on modern computers (It still has the original .wri file in it though). It also now includes the Descent Builder manual, a great resource for anyone using the DMB2.

(Except the soundtrack...I don't know/much care about that ;) If anybody else knows where it is, definitely post it! :)

Here's the Levels of the World for D1

Here's the DMB2

And here's Vertigo for D2
(To install it put d2x.mn2 and .hog in the missions directory, and the rest in the main directory)

I'd also suggest getting Pentacircle for D1

Descent Maximum (D2)

The Enemy Within (D2)

And Pentacircle 2.0 for D2
Thanks Brother.
Cheers for putting these up, AFP. If there's one series I can't get enough of, it's Descent.
