Medal of Honor Pacific Assault puts you in the boots of a WWII soldier in the Pacific Theater of Operations. As Marine Private Tommy Conlin, you must survive the devastating attack on Pearl Harbor and then join the Allied crusade to defeat Imperial Japan's bloody conquest of the Pacific. From the attack at Pearl Harbor to the pivotal battle against Japanese Forces at Tarawa Island, Medal of Honor Pacific Assault gives PC gamers a sense of the courage it took to endure and overcome the Japanese threat in WWII and fight for VICTORY in the Pacific.

I love the medal of Honor games but thi oneis just to clunky to get into. the movement feels slow, the aiming feels slow and clunky and the squad mechanic just doesnt do it for me.
The game has nice graphics, sounds and an impressive orchestral soundtrack. The whole game consists of diversified action with a big arsenal of weapons and explosions. If you are familiar with ego shooters, you can play straight on and don't need to deliberate on puzzles or something else. You have a compass on top of the screen which shows exactly where to go with no needs to orientate on goony map systems. You don't need to run around endlessly, because the cineastic levels are only designed like corridors.
The voice actors are professional. You will find a beautiful vegetation in the jungle with palms, bushes, sand, grass and rocks. The well implemented jungle setting was underlaid with authentic bird sounds, which is absolutely atmospheric.
The overall good atmosphere of the game was totally destroyed by stupid arcade action missions. I didn't like the pearl harbour mission inside a ship and the really bad arcade flak shootings on planes which should add some variety. I had to cheat several times to the next map to be able to play through. I couldn't differ frantic american and japanese planes you have to shot down only in a few! seconds to defend an airfield. I wasn't able to steer a plane with a mouse to attack ground targets. Sometimes you will be overrun by endless waves of japanese soldiers which remind me of games like Moorhuhn. Sometimes you have to fire a lot of bullets only to kill a single soldier. Sometimes you can fire through walls. Sometimes bullets were caught from invisible obstacles. Sometimes you get entengled in obstacles or friendly soldiers. The effect of grenades are a bad joke and often the fire range of weapons, too.
Why not integrate endless vids to pretend artistical value?
It is a disgrace to publish again such a nerving unpolished game. The bad points beclouded the whole gameplay experience. Overall it was a bad shooter I would never come back to. Save your money and better buy allied assault instead.
OK, so this game I absolutely loved as a kid. I was a huge fan of MoH and kind of disliked CoD. Allied Assault was one my favourite games, and here comes the sequel!
In the times of release it came complete with a Pearl Harbor battle scene - with the movie fresh in our minds - boot camp training and a new squad based system.
I loved this game back then, you even got to fly an airplane!! Played it on my shit computer before getting a new one, in slideshow framerate.
In 2023 however... yeah...
This game kind of suck. The protagonist is emo, the squad based system really, really bad and the graphics are not as good as they should be (same year as Half Life 2, come on!).
The weapons feel weird with the bullet counter on the side and they just sound off. Many weapons absolutely suck and the rifles are terrible. Stealing japanese rifles is a death sentence since they do no damage.
Most missions are kind of bland too, and there's no open terrain in the way one would expect a jungle war game.
I have lots of problems with this game as an adult, but as a teenager I had a blast.
