I doubt that a "What did just update on Galaxy?" thread will be needed. I expect the client to report any updates right away. If hunting on the forum for update info will still be required then something with its design/ development needs reassessment.

Agreed. It's a failed update delivery system if it needs yet another system to provide notifications. Kind of like the current system and this thread, really.

I guess whoever stated that GOG keeps separate files for Galaxy and the website was correct. I expect that at some point we will have to split this thread into "What did just update on Galaxy?" and "What did just update on the website?".
Yeah, well it doesn't seem like Galaxy installs games by downloading the installer and then unpackaging it so it seems likely that for Galaxy the games are stored separately.

Took me a little while to figure it out myself, so I have added some narration to explain the changes GOG had carried out.



Originally Shadowgate had a single English Windows installer link:

which GOG removed and replaced by two installer links, one for the "Original Game":

and one for the "DLC":

except that Shadowgate doesn't really have any DLC installer, because the DLC is merely a collection of bonuses, so this link simply points to Nothing™ (i.e. yields a 404 error).



For Mac, they apparently intended to do the same, so they added the "Original Game" division subtitle:

P.S. I have noticed that GOG has fixed the issues I had mentioned in the preceding post. MaGog will report about this when it reaches Shadowgate on its next round of my library, which would be in about 48 hours (because if it accesses my library too often, GOG blocks my IP).

No flags here, if it wasn't for this thread it would be a nightmare keeping with all the changes and the entire library.
