I already blew my gaming budget for this month, and most of next's (at least) on Arakion, but despite that, I'm willing to blow the same amount here (and a little bit extra for shipping) if I get a positive reply from them on multiplatform (LInux & Mac, that is) and DRM-freeness.

I don't care for DRM and endorse DRM-free, but I don't understand all the Steam hate. Valve works to ensure that games install easily, just work out of the box, they allow me to install as many times as I like on every PC I own, and I can play off-line without putting a disc in the tray. And they have really cheap sales on games all the time. You can also download game mods, screenshots, etc. from within Steam, or trade in-game items with other players. It really is a great platform.

I agree with TJ here
What is with the utter hatred of steam which admittedly annoying is one of the lightest forms of DRM and helps with keeping your game patched etc and otherwise is pretty unobtrusive.
I mean honestly is it that huge a deal? Am I just missing something? Steam fanboys . Meh .

Anyway, it's most probable that they will include a DRM-free release when the KS ends. Can you guys think of a major KS title that decided to say "fuck it, we're only releasing on Steam and that's that"?
That's the neat thing about KS. Power to the developer and the consumer.

FUCK YES. Real time with pause, put out by Obsidian and PC only. I didn't even have to think about donating to this kickstarter, which is also my first one.

Almost $250,000 already. This has got to be some sort of record.

Watching the $ pledged counter rising by hundreds of dollars every few seconds is kind of... mesmerising :D

Wasteland 2 got 61,000 backers, so I suppose you can assume the same people will also pledge to this project.

I'll definitely keep an eye on this and see where it goes.
The backing has been pleasantly strong.
