gameon: Weren't they supposed to be helping with Wasteland 2?
This...what the hell. And enough with the nostalgia-driven game design. I want third person camera with awesome combat and a great story. Too bad we're a good 2-3 yrs out from TW3 or CyberPunk.

Coelocanth: 240 bucks would get you the boxed version. There's no indication whether or not it will be tied to Steam though. I'm hoping not.

*edit* Oh, and Kotaku Article on it. Interesting comments by Avellone.

doady: It's 65 bucks for a boxed version. So can't say I understand all this bitching about the lack of a non-Steam version (though there really should be more choices for digital versions even at $20 tier).
Boxed version might be tied to steam, New Vegas was.

What's not to understand? Some people value games tied to Steam for less.

Unless I'm mistaken, and the boxed version is DRM-free, in which case I will throw moar jewgoldz their way.

As far as I can tell, you get the boxed collector's edition for $140 (+$20 shipping), or you can settle for the standard boxed version for $65 (+$15 shipping).

The game might turn out great, but I'm not going to sign up on Steam just to play it, nor pay $80 (incl. shipping) for a DVD with DRM..

Hopefully they'll cut a deal with GOG withing the next month, and do something similar as with Carmageddon *crosses fingers*

Would be best to PM them. The comments will likely be buried fast.

I'm sure they stare at their screens right now, watching how their money rise, reading comments while doing so.

And the game will be published by Bethesda . You know the company which will make another contract with 1C to screw Eastern EU and Russia again .
There is a God. Only explanation.

Judging by how quickly the dollars are being pledged, there are a lot of us that want the nostalgia driven game design.

I'm pretty stoked about this one and it's actually the first kickstarter that I pulled the trigger on. Generic fantasy setting? Bring it on, I say. I love 'em.

"It is important to note that we say "potential" as they will come aboard"
Ah. I stand corrected then.
If the pledge level for the game were $15 I'd be in right now, but I'll wait. I'd also like to see a DRM-free option.
