Tracido: That's an awful lot of considerations, and opinion, but what did you want from a genocide game aimed at making killing seem statistical, and numeric?

Maybe you, enjoyed the Beta uncut AO version of Manhunt 2, no? I sure did, see, that's where I connect beyond just Postal, except this is more capable than Postal, and gives me a fond memory of a classic called Mercenaries 2, which none combine.

Right, again, lots of making anything fit and not sense.

The release of games in the old days not even being considered, plus inflation, alone just wipes that out.

DCT: blah blah blah
Opinions, that's all that matters, here, not facts. Got it.

tinyE: A few days ago I would have been on your ass for that because I was interested and I wanted to play it, but given the people pushing for it I'm now thrilled it isn't here. XD
Real intelligent way of thinking. Hating a game because you hate or dislike the kind of people who are pushing for it. Clearly, you are a logical person and not a man child guided by his emotions... NOT. Should I refuse to read H.P. Lovecraft for the rest of my life because your avatar is a green Cthulhu? No and I wouldn't because I'm not like you, fortunately. And I bet in the future, you will buy the game anyway, you fucking hypocrite. Your existence in this universe is nothing but a joke. A cruel joke that isn't funny, designed to waste oxygen and plague humanity.

What I can't figure is sometimes he goes days without saying anything and then all of a sudden he freaks out. Every time I think he's finally let it go he has another conniption fit, and when he does, if I were to stop a giant asteroid from destroying the planet he would give me shit for it. :P

It makes quite a bit of sense.

If I bought that game, I'd feel associated with certain people because they wanted it and bought it too.
When there isn't anything more than an initial passing interest, some people being jackasses can be enough to make a person want nothing to do with it.

Also, it has the bonus of knowing I'm doing my own tiny part to make sure another game never gets made, helping to infuriate every gibbering asshat who screamed endlessly for its presence. ;)

Easy solution to that question - they have stress in life, but they don't have the spine to confront who's actually making them angry, so they'll keep lashing out at you since you're never going to be a close part of their life, so they feel that there's no consequence to their behavior.

Or, they're just a moody asshole with no sense....either/or. =)

It only makes sense when you are thinking on tinyE's level. Do yourself a favor and start thinking on a higher level. A whole new world will open up to you. A world full of video games, movies, music and literature for you to enjoy because you stopped thinking only with your feelings. And best of all, people will stop seeing you as an childish idiot. Because supporting censorship just to help infuriate a group of people you don't like is definitely something a childish idiot would do.

You mean like complaining at a random person on the internet that they're a plague on humanity? -laughs-

Lie to yourself all you want, but don't expect other people to buy into it.

Especially when the game itself is accused to cater to a specific demographic (basically, the ones who fantasy about a breivik simulator, and the sort of people would find that ending video as totally awesome and badass). The answer to that accusation is to explain that it is a horrible prejudice, and the target market of Hatred is no different from the easy going crowd who has a laugh with the cartoonish violence of Carmageddon, Sim City's monster attack, or Cannon Fodder.

But then, when the most enthousiastic defenders of that game turn out to be the exact same freaks that are expected through that prejudice, well, said prejudice gets totally reinforced, which further defines this game as a twat's wet dream, made for and adored by creepy people. So much for the "no no, you don't get it, it's a totally self-aware ironical game for highly sophisticated people"...

Same phenomenon with "no no there is nothing sexist in that film, you're fust a paranoid feminist, now SHUT UP WOMAN AND GO BACK TO THE KITCHEN IF YOU'VE FINISHED CLEANING MY SOCKS". Some messages are a bit self-defeated by the messengers' own general attitudes.
