I'm still trying to figure out why HSL was last nights target. He seemed an odd choice with all that happened yesterday, but I guess that's one reason why the scum picked him.

I will admit the vote placement by Sage was odd, but it would be a ballsy move for scum to hammer while someone was giving analysis. As to the analysis, are you going to finish it now Krypsyn?

I still have my doubts about Bookwyrm and Ix. Both have a tendency for erratic posts that come off as scummy.

RW, you had been saying Krypsyn is scum, do you still think that?
Well, I feel a bit out of sorts, I went to sleep one day, woke up to Lift asking me for my Night action, fast forward a day and Day 2 has already started. So instead of anything witty (Besides, who set up that lynch? Speedy fucking Gonzales?)

But I do have some information, which I'm willing to pass along. The reason I'm hesitating, is more because it's convoluted enough to get me lynched...maybe. I want to get it out, but I'm not sure how to handle it. Had this written out earlier, then lost the window, but the role I had yesterday, isn't the same role I have today (So there is some information on how the game is working for the people who are interested in it) I'm willing to put myself at the Tyranny of the Majority for this one.

I know I was concerned I wouldn't get my analysis done before Lifthrasil ended the Day, and I was a little worried it might end up as a No Lynch. I was a tad annoyed with her at the time, but I think it might be dangerous to read too much into her hammer. We were certainly on operating on borrowed time, after all.

Do I have to? Man, that just seems like effort

But, seriously, yes, I do intend on finishing up my list. I need to review Day 1 again in light of new information, but I can briefly sum up what my points would have been at the end of Day 1:

The people I had as neutral were folks I couldn't really get a good read on because they hadn't posted anything that really registered one way or the other for me.

Ixamyakxim came off as town leaning for me because he reaction to vote pressure seemed more in line with how I would expect him to react as town.

Trentonlf (I hope you don't mind me referring to you in the 3rd person for consistency here :P) came off as town because he was the first to acknowledge the difference between the word Bookwyrm627 used and the word contained in his PM definitively.

Bookwyrm627 had just seemed quite pro-town with his questions and assertions, especially early on. To me, his actions seemed consistent with a new player feeling things out; over-eager, perhaps, but not scummy.
Sorry all it is 3:18am and I am just getting done the work I had to bring home and I have to be up at 8 to do it again but I will make time to get on and read everything since we came back.
Just got to work and seen we have started again - won't be able to post until tonight.

I will be sharing what I *think* was a semi-reliable way to at least see someone as leaning town this evening as well, once I've been able to go back through Day1 and collate it all. No time while working, as i want to keep my job!!

Quick one from what Ive skimmed today - Hyper was probably an IDEAL target for NK - minimal input yesterday, no backtrail to analyse for the rest of us, less information to work with.

@ Trent - you ask why, then answer your own question in the same sentence - why do that? Just thinking out loud?

trentonlf: RW, you had been saying Krypsyn is scum, do you still think that?
I still have him as scummy. It starts with voting Dedo right after Dedo claims an unspecified town tell. Who does that? And apparently without seeing the why first. As to Ixam, I do not see his actions as pro-town. In fact I found them even more scummy.

Let me explain. Let's go back to Witch Hunting. So one of the ways to tell if someone was a witch was to tie them up, throw them in water and if they float, they are a witch. The converse is when they drown, I guess they were not.

Ixam's suggestion was for people to vote for me, put me on the brink and wait to see if someone leaves the train, then both of us would be scum (witches). Had you followed Ixam's suggestion, how likely does it become for me to get pushed over the brink by accident and people then have to say "Oops, not a witch".

But overall, I don't see too many differences ever from a town or scum on the brink of a lynch. They both usually do the same things, both try to start trains on other people, and both protest their innocence. And looking at Ixam's posts I see nothing, besides the above, that I attribute as more or less scummy or town.

So, I don't give very much credence to Krypsyn's new analysis. But if someone would care to enlighten me on exactly what you see as Ixam's town actions, I'd like to know.

I will say this. I was the only one who seemed to agree with Dedo for a long time after mentioning the tell. Why the heck would I be going out on a limb for him? I had him as my #1 suspect. He contradicted himself a few times early in the game. Every time someone had something negative to say about him, they went on his scum list. He seemed to have a growing train of discontent. No smart scum would jump to his defense. Only honest town.

The fact's are. I was the first after Dedo's mention to catch that Bookwyrm dropped a variation of the word "loyal". I dropped a different variation in another post, so that we could try to confirm more than one person. (Then later dropped it again by accident as the word was stuck in my head).

But hey, I guess I'm just scummy to all of you. I feel I proved myself and if that's the best of your logic, we are in deep trouble...

I have yet to go back over the thread given the recent events, and maybe this isn't the right thing to say but....
Obviously, I would have preferred Option A (Ixam), as I still think he is the scummiest I see. Hijack was an Option B. I still think we might have benefited by it. As usual, Hijack went maverick. He starts spouting stuff, right and wrong. Like where he claimed town and scum PM's were the same except for a few words changed around. I re-read my PM after he posted that. My PM does not seem to easily be switched as he claimed. So, he exaggerated (lied) to enhance his point and likely got lynched for it. I'm not too sad. One less distraction.

So in this case, Option B, could have been worse. Only later will we see if Option A would have been a better choice.
I guess this differs from other sets of options A & B. As uninformed town, can one ever be so sure someone else is town, that option B is better than A?
Quick look at HijacK's wagon. Do recall that there were already two wagons that lost steam halfway.

dedoporno switches vote from Ixamyakxim to HijacK #473
adaliabooks unvotes Ixamyakxim #477
RWarehall switches from Ixamyakxim to Hijcak #489
trentonlf switches from Ixamyakxim to HijacK #494
Robbeasy votes for HijacK, citing the argument me and HijacK have seems fixed #495
Bookwyrm627 switches from Ixamyakxim to HijacK #498
flubbucket agrees with Robbeasy #501
adaliabooks votes HijacK to prevent nolynch #505
Sage hammers HijacK #508

Now, there are 4 people that jumped wagons. Dedoporno, RWarehall, trentonlf, Bookwyrm627. Robbeasy and flubbucket both went on HijacK because they thought the argument was two scums trying to distance each other. Adalia takes us to L-1 to prevent a nolynch, and Sage hammers.

I don't currently have the time to check if our wagon jumpers also jumped from dedo to Ix, but it does raise some questions. Especially RWarehall an trentonlf, votes 3 and 4 respectively. Now to see if adalia's script to distinguish votes can get become case insensitive.
You know. We've been playing this game for how long? I think by now, the only people who care about wagon spots 3 to 5 are the scum who avoid it like the plague. The fact so many of you are putting so much emphasis on such meaningless trivial things says a lot. Yeah, I jumped wagons. Why? The first one died and I wanted to see us get a viable lynch on a scummy target who was on my list. Because town wins by correctly lynching scum. It's the only way to win.

I watched on Day 1, when people questioned why Dedo's wagon collapsed claiming it must be because scum stopped it. Completely ignoring the fact that Dedo's town tell claim/spot clearly took all the steam out of it. But no, the reason doesn't matter. All wagons are the same and equally telling. That seems to be rather short-sighted to me...

I watch Ixam's wagon and the claim that I should be brought to the brink so that if someone drops off my wagon, we can be sure I'm scum. So when Ixam hits L-1 and Robbeasy backs off, why does this go without mention? Why are so many now claiming Ixam seems town? Something pretty darn screwy is going on around here. Or is it, you've decided who you don't like and who you do like (and for the scum, its obvious) and you are coming up with arguments to fit your theory.

And in terms of people jumping wagons, the answer is pretty darn easy. Almost everyone who was on the Dedo wagon jumped on me. Almost all those on Ixam's wagon jumped on Hijack. In general, there seems to be two camps. One camp believes in the town tell, the other seems to ignore its value almost completely. Analyze that...

Robbeasy: @ Trent - you ask why, then answer your own question in the same sentence - why do that? Just thinking out loud?
Yes, I was just typing as I was thinking. I was also wondering if anyone else noticed something besides that.

1. What is this information you have? If it helps town I hope you let us know what it is so we can utilize it.
2. As an example on role change, do you mean you were a Doctor and are now a Cop?

1. Just an FYI for you, Robbeasy also jumped wagons from Ix to Hijack.
2. Yes the script is case sensitive

RWarehall: So, I don't give very much credence to Krypsyn's new analysis. But if someone would care to enlighten me on exactly what you see as Ixam's town actions, I'd like to know.
I would also like to know the answer to this as I still see Ix's behavior day 1 as very odd and erratic.
Damn, that was a short night. I thought I'd have some more time to think yesterday through, re-read most of the thread, and make notes. Since I have not done so, as I had no time, he are some basic thoughts on our current situation.

Firstly, I'm still mostly where I was yesterday on Ixam. He seems like the scummiest player to me, and I do not think we should have abandoned our train on him to lynch HijacK. Would someone care to enlighten me as to the big case against HijacK, actually? I don't see why you lot voted him dead.

Moving along, I don't like the cryptic roll hinting that Twilight is doing, nor do I much care for trentonlf's very open fishing. Then again, I have a noted fondness for claiming the minute I have something to reveal, so perhaps I'm being a little too harsh.

Lastly, RWarehall, would you care to explain why, more fully, why you find Krypsyn so suspicious? I don't think that voting for dedo because, as I remember it, he did not like the "town tell" is quite enough to go on, honestly.
Dammit. Ixam IS town...
How did I miss that...

Not sure I want to state the reason though...

trentonlf: 1. Just an FYI for you, Robbeasy also jumped wagons from Ix to Hijack.
His unvote is quite a bit far from his vote, isn't it? I think he unvoted before HijacK got his first vote. But do count him in the wagon jumpers if you like.

As I said, I'll see if I can do an analysis on the other wagons as well, crappy as it may be.

CSPVG: Moving along, I don't like the cryptic roll hinting that Twilight is doing, nor do I much care for trentonlf's very open fishing.
There is no fishing. Twilightlbard outright says he has information he wants to share, so I ask him what it is. He also says his role changed and I give an example to see if that is what he meant. Not sure how you got fishing out of that.

trentonlf: <snip>
Actually, you're right, trent. I re-read your message, and I don't know how I took such a jaundiced view of it. I withdraw my accusation of fishing.
I do have a justification that everyone should be able to see. In post 452, Ixam uses the term "vanilla townie". This was prior to the lynch and night kills of other "vanilla townie's". I cannot discount the similarity in wording. So in my eyes, he is almost certainly town.
