So, I've been thinking about my options for the investigation ever since I saw the FFF.

Assume for a moment that I am telling the truth about being liberal. Like I said I will be locked out of the office. Investigating another liberal will be useless; you will have no reason to believe me. Finding a fascist will be a reasonable way to help my teammates. At least I would be taking one of them down with me.
And finding Hitler would be like hitting Jackpot. I would lock him out of office with me and take away their easiest victory condition. But that is very hard to achieve. High risk high reward. Do you guys think I should aim for hitler?

Personally I think I should aim for a fascist.

If however you assume I'm lying then IMO the worst you would allow me to do is lock a liberal out of office with me. Not that bad if it means one less fascist. Who I investigate doesn't matter in this scenario.

So, who should I investigate? Any ideas?
Joppo, did you play SHbefore?

ZFR: Joppo, did you play SHbefore?
No. I just followed the previous SH in the Observer thread before I even joined the Mafia community. I talked a lot to Pooka about the game back then.

And I had a fairly decent bragging rights guess: Lift + RedFireGaming + hitler!Joe . As you recall, the correct answer was Lift + GR + hitler!Joe
@Micro, sorry if this is written somewhere and I'm supposed to know but why does the OP say the deck is 16 cards? The rules state that it's supposed to be 17 (6 liberal and 11 fascist). If it's indeed 16 rather than 17 which one is missing?

The one that was enacted.

Aren't those getting discard piled? Or does it remain face up on the table for everyone to see for the rest of the game?

It remains face up.

It's a nice negative feedback loop. The more L policies are enacted the less are left for draw and vice versa.

Right, OK. Thanks.

Yeah, that much I know. We're supposed to keep track of what has allegedly and factually been played and eventually we may expose a past claim as a likely lie.

Yes, but I was making a different point. The more L policies are face up on the table the less there is available for draw, so the more a team is winning, the more difficult it is to continue winning.

Like a football match where after each point you score, the opponent's goal is made smaller.
And J. C. "Dr. Cadaver" Meeks (thanks to zeogold) is finally back! No more excuses from now on. I'm ready to participate as much as humanly possible.

Let me read all the posts once again just in case and please forgive me in advance IF I reply to some of your old posts without checking the new ones first.

What ZFR said:
14 to go, 1 on the board, 2 in the discard pile.

Lifthrasil: Exactly. Both President and Chancellor have to be silent until the policy has been passed. And frankly I don't see anything more to analyze until they have done so.

It would be nice if in future elections the voting process could be sped up.
I will try to speed things up, I'm sorry, I wanted & hoped for a snappy game. I messed up big time Phase 1 due to my unfamiliarity with the game rules, leading to at least one or more 24 hr delay. Please forgive me and I'll try my best to do better next time!

dedoporno: Is the result of the investigation announced by the mods or by Joppo?
Only Joppo (of the players in this game) will know the result (after he tells me whom to investigate.)

zeogold: "DON'T SQUASH HIM!" screams Dr. Joppo, flicking one of the placards across the table to slide beneath Lord Maxwell's pounding palm, gently knocking away a gummi bear and saving it from certain destruction.
"Great, we're settled! That's our starting setup!"
"Now can I intend to-"
"Yes, you can."
"Great! NOW I vote it down!" cheers Scené.
The rest, confused and deciding they don't have anything better to do anyways, all vote aye.
Just wanted to say this made me chuckle a good deal :)

I think Joe seems to have a good idea in Post 180.....that said, I think you should feel free to investigate as you see fit.

Oh, sure. This is also clear. Even now after we allegedly move past 3F statistically it's still more likely to draw more Fs than Ls on the next draw but we have better odds this time. If the first draw was in fact 3F we have 2 more draws where the same thing can legitimately happen and the elected officials not be fully fascist, right?

Another question on the game mechanics - how is the special power that comes from enacted F chosen? Are they "unlocked" in a specific order or does each F card have a specific option and RNG dictates what the available options for the President are?

I'm OK with this.
