opticq: I still cannot believe I did not get the original Bioshock from humble DRM free.

realkman666: Do you want it?
Only if you don't want it.

I'm not addicted to anything at all. I've even been using the I-net since late 90's without breaks longer than a couple of months and still don't have that Internet addiction everyone's bragging about. :-p

//EDITing to clarify: I logged into Steam to take the screenshots less than half an hour ago. The funny thing is the store page shows BI having a Linux version, but my library... well, you've seen it. Not such a big deal though, since I wouldn't be able to play the game on my laptop regardless.

That's odd. I was just playing around, but I thought it would show up. Have you created some custom categories?

No.

Bioshock Infinite just got a Linux version.

That is odd? Mines downloading right now.

Tried logging out and back in, going into offline mode, restarting the client, killed its process through System Monitor (to force it to check its integrity and look for possible updates) - to no avail.
Meh, until I have a Linux rig powerful enough to run BI, I don't need it anyway. I'll google a solution when (or if) I'll need to.

EDIT (not to litter the topic): the game now shows in my library.

Johnathanamz: Windows 10 will end up being 40%+ of the PC gamer market in 2 years or 3 years

shmerl: With Windows 10 MS will shoot themselves in the foot. People won't be eager to upgrade to some new Windows which will be required for DX12. On the other hand Vulkan will work on all versions of Windows and on Linux and OS X. Which will result in DX being used less and more potential for cross platform games.
Upgdare to Windows 10 is free for Windows 7 or Windows 8 users.
There's a GOG tease occurring for whatever is being released tomorrow. Could it be???

It doesn't matter and it's not about money. People don't like disruptive updates which bring some new UI monstrosity from MS each time. And they don't like MS telling them what to do in order to get latest games.

For gods sakes stop this crap right now.

The new UI for Windows 10 is not a monstrosity. Windows 10 is very good.

What the hell is your problem and other Linux users problem with hating on Microsoft and Windows.

I thought Windows video gamers were bad on the comments they make, but it seems Linux video gamers are even worse.

Stop spreading lies around that Microsoft is that bad and that Windows 8 and Windows 10 UI is bad. The only bad thing about Windows 8 is the Metro tiles that's it.

shmerl: No, all experts say it won't have any edge over it.

JMich: May I get some links for Vulkan, since a quick google search only gave me the announcements? Quite interested to see what has been revealed so far.

Exactly, tell it to MS ;) It's not even my problem, I'm not using Windows and don't plan to. It's a problem for those who use and can't configure it the way they like. It's all rather subjective though, so if it's not a problem for you doesn't mean it's not a problem for others.

Stop being a free loader for once and try Windows 10 preview builds or try it when it fully releases in the summer of this year or around October 2015 or November 2015.

I'm not interested in supporting MS in the slightest. Enough with their lock-in already. Going back to Windows? Bleh, that's like proposing to use a horse and buggy after you got a spaceship.

Well then stop talking crap.

Crap as in saying Windows is bad and that people should stop purchasing Windows and giving money to Microsoft. Microsoft is not that bad.

Who cares about the lock-ins. I can't wait for consoles to not exist anymore and PC, smart phones, and tablets to only exist.

PC's are so easy to hook up to the TV now a days.
Yesterday I've installed the Linux Steam client for the first time, just to see if there was a possible (legal) way around the DRM with this game, unfortunately it wasn't the case, uninstalled the game and steam client altogether. Should the game come to GOG I'll be more than happy to buy it.
