Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon

Tainted Grail release version

Technical problems. Unplayable. When i try to enter captains quarters in keep, i get an infinite loading screen.

Cyberpunk 2077

buggy mess, do not bother

Instead of patching bugs they introduce new game breaking bugs. In patch 1.1 a main mission telephone call with takemura just never ends. I get the feeling cdpr are just incompetent, that do not know what they are doing at all. The release version did run better then the current version and had better grafics. It is really not fun.

Wizards & Warriors

Wizards and Warriors

Thank you for releasing this title on gog.com. I have yet to play it, but the game was nowhere to be found except on shady abandonware sites. So i expreciate the opportunity to buy it. The game itself is a successor of the older wizardry titles. Those games are hardcore dungeon crawler rpgs heavily statbased with gridbased movement and turn based combat. That changed with wizardry 8. That game played in a free move and look 3d world, you fought encounter in the same 3d world not a seperate combat screen. That was a huge step in developement for JRPs. Wizardry is also the granddad of all Japan RPGs like Final fantasy, Dragon Quest. The dungeon design in this game is excellent, the puzzles are hard, the enemies are tough and you have a wide variety of races and classes to play with. You can play as elephant priest or rat people warriors. Good title and an interestingt addition to any roleplaying game collection. Thanks for reading have a nice day.

Strike Commander

Strike Commander

Technically works on win 7. I can not get several input devices detected. I tried microsoft 360 gamepad. Joystick calibration does not work. I tried a Saitek Joystick, not detected, i tried Thrustmaster Hotas x gets detected, but the joystick axis control does not work in game. I tried the dosbox input config. That worked, but you can not input more then one order at once. The diving and turning or climbing and turning is impossible. The inputs are to fast. Plane is uncontrollable. Because of the control issues i give this game a 1 out of 5. I will not use joy2key for a game a bought. 1. joy2key costs money, 2. it takes hours to configure it right. I expect the input devices to work on a game i bought for money. Especially when the sellers advertises the product as working on modern Operating systems. Then please put some effort into the work. I have the original game. The game gets 3 out of 5 stars from me, it is just a mediocre flight sim with some boring cutscenes. The campaign has only canned, scripted missions that never change. I got more fun out of real dynamic campaigns of flight sims like red baron, gunship 2000. I bought the game again here, because i thought i get a version that runs flawless on modern system. Input devices are very important to fly a flight sim. Without a working controller or Hotas it is nearly worthless. Thank you for reading, have a nice day.

The Age of Decadence

Honest Age of Decadence review

Pro: - Setting is somewhat interesting. Roman like setting with fantasy and steam punk mixed in. - Items fit nicely into the setting and are somewhat realistic. Gladius swords, roman armor, nets, greek fire etc - The combat system is well thought out - there is a crafting and alchemy system - Choices and consequences at every step - Combat is hard Con: - The game grafic engine is abysmal. Looks worse then the oldest isometric rpgs. - The world feels lifeless and bland. - every location is small without many things to do. even the cities. - no hidden treasures, no real incentive for exploration - Quest density is very low. 5 Quests in the starter city, 4 in the second, even less in the third and next to no in the fourth in a playthrough with merchant. Wasn't better as combat character, but you get different quests. Playtime of a social character was 4 hours by me. - Quests are not very interesting. - No interactivity with the game world. You can not light campfires or use torches in dungeons. - Stat and skill checks at every corner. You can not even have a dialogue without skill checks. So you save your skillpoints for the next quest, check out what skills you need and reload invest your skillpoints to satisfy the skill checks. - Very rigid stat and skill system. The skill points are so rare that you can not invest in many different skills. So for combat characters it is one weapon skill, one defensive skill and perhaps alchemy or crafting to augment your char. Hybrid characters are next to unplayable. What you miss in combat skills will loose you all ability to fight. Only expert players can make them workable. - Difficulty for fights is over the top. Even the first fights are next to impossible when you do not know what are doing. You have to build a optimized character to even win the first fight in the game. It is very frustrating. RNG heavy. AoD feels more like a textadventure then a roleplaying game. I can only recommend this game for extreme masochists.

Raiden Legacy

Unfortunately another broken game

Game runs way too fast. Certain bullets are too fast to dogde. I had no problems with raiden 3, the game runs like it should. But all the games in this collection are double time. The games behind the broken emulation seem to be fun. Good music and grafic effects, fun gameplay. Please fix the speed issue. Thanks for reading, have a nice day
