USC: Counterforce

I enjoy the game

You have to play the tutoral and read the manual. A run takes about 4-6 hours, but you can set it to save at any time. It is an indy game interface and takes a little getting use to. This game is designed to be hard, my first campaign mission, on normal, I took in a squad of 18, and made it out having to swap ammuniton and weapon between squad members. Several member were compeatly out of ammo, and everyone else only had what was loaded in the weapon by the time I finished the mission. I am over 20 hours into the game and have had no crashes. It was fun.

After 296 hours a successful run.

This game is fun, every run is different, and best yet it can be save/quit and resumed at he touch of a button. It is a great game if you have 15 min to play or have lots of random distractions. My one successful run took about 1.5 hours, and I played though it in 2 secessions. The game has an increadable amount of places to explore that are compleatly unrelated to finishing the game. If you think you should be able to do it you probably can in the game.

Frustrating and worth it.

The save system has been improved if you die in game you go back to the last time/place your character slept ( you can sleep for 0 hours). The improvement is that everytime you quit out of the game it saves your game, if you die late you still go back. This allows for people like me that only have 15-30 min at a time to play the game. The game will not reward risk taking but will reward good planning and paying attention to detail. It is constantly, but slowly being updated and has improved every time.

Thea: The Awakening

This is the game I keep coming back to.

I have played this game and lost my progress now on 3 different computers, it has held up well over time. This game is fun to play, it is challenging and you will lose, but the developers want you to have fun. The building resouces part of the game is fun, you can use different resouces to build every thing, and the resouces you use impacts the quality of building and how it impacts the game. You can build a wall our of wood, stone, bone or combinations of them. The story is compelling and you are rewarded for not taking the option of direct combat (although that is almost always an option).

Vagrus - The Riven Realms

This game is absorbing and you will lose

This is a well written book, the amount of content already in it amazing. The world feels really fleshed out. You will lose, but it will not be because of RNG it will be because of the choices you made, or failed to make. The game seems to be about risk managment and planning, using limited data. There is a long way to go on the game, a lot of the game still needs to be finished. If you are playing the game for Combat you will not be happy with it yet. I have recieved good value and look forward to the updates.

Nowhere Prophet

This is a game about scraping by.

Game Play: This is a game about doing the best you can with what you have, and it is fun because of it. You will rarely have that perfect combination and when you get it you will lose it. You may well go into battles with a mediocre hand because you have to save your best cards for the harder battles. You will sacrifice good cards and lose them for the play through. Healing is rare and randomly applied. Flavor text: I don’t read flavor text in games, but I found my self enjoying the flavor text and looking forward to finding more of the story. Choices: The choices are real in the game and impact play through in real ways. You have three philosophies which you receive points for based on your actions. Each opens up new choices and bonus options that will benefit you within the game. RNG You will lose, you will be outmatched, and then you start over and try again and the next experience will be totally different.

EVERSPACE™

When you don't have time to play.

Most of the time a run last less than 30 minutes and a game can be saved at any time which is really nice if you only have only a little bit of time. You can also play it for hours if you want.

Airships: Conquer the Skies

Fun and kid friendly

This game is fun, building ships is fun, the battles are fun, it is just fun. I am sure you can spend a lot of time optimizing your ships or you can just build something that looks cool, both work. Building ships is very intuitive and my kids spend a lot of time just building the ships. Well worth the price.
