in short: get it at a discount. long version: it´s an absolutely true to the bone roboCop game. The faces, the police station, even the gunplay feels "true". but as the movie, this also looks and feels dated. movement is slow, no ducking, jumping,.. just straight forward walking and shooting. completing every side mission is tedious legwork. the "scanning" and the dialogue mechanic feel lackluster... like a lot in this game does. reminds me somehow of shooters from the early 2000s.
3 sets of armor for 10€.. for a 3 year old mediocre game. of the armor sets, only one (the one with the skulls) is different enough from those already available in game to make any difference in appearance. the slightly different color of the dogs fur? its covered in armor / replaced by metal, anyway.. yes, the chew toy. nice. funny. but even at a discount price of 5€ I just don´t see where this could be worth more than 1€ at best. maybe to support the devs? it´s your decision.
I LOVE the games´ storyline, the setting, the ability to have the voiceovers completely in czech.. it adds SO much to the atmosphere. but i really dislike "commandos" style rts combat with rogelite elements, where little mis-click can decide if the mission was a total success or not, which then and can ruin the rest of the game if you don´t start the mission over.
it´s a very demanding puzzle game for someone like me, that doesn´t play games like this on a regular basis. sometimes, pen and paper come in handy; without it, some puzzles are impossible to me. some are even with pen and paper...
Was torn between 3 and 4 stars; since I played it through, it can´t be that bad, despite it´s shortcomings. These are: - weird story - enemies have no real hitboxes - some weapons / upgrades are simply useless - not much is explained about weapons / enemies - you can jump (somehow) but not crouch I beat the game on "hard" in three sessions; I´m not a regular fps player, so that means, the game is easy (aside from two situations, which were a bit unfair..) . Get it while it´s on sale, because it does show it´s age in some areas.
like their older game, war for the overworld, this "space hospital sim" is full of weird characters and jokes, but lacks in depth sometimes. once you have saved a blueprint for every room, it´s more or less the same over and over. BUT! still fun and well worth the money.
the technical basis is okay´ish; meaning, it does the job without looking too beautiful. loading times are a big downside. game crashed quite often after the loading screen in late game. the story is interesting, but - imho - does NOT really add up. also, i don´t get the american flag and burning wigwams in some "dream sequences"... i finished the game in ~2 hours, i felt entertained; up to you if you think the (lrather ow) price tag is rectified.
Finished it in under one hour, but got stuck for over 15 minutes in one place because the designers chose to make ONE piece of equipment used twice instead of once; also, there is - to me - no visible indication why of all places it has to be used exactly there. finally, the story about two brothers and then one lonely, rejected lover.. i don´t get where the connection is. so, yes, if it´s meant as a teaser for their full game, it´s well done. but it should be 1€ max, or rather be free.
