Tormentum: Dark Sorrow

Great Title and an Piece of ART

It really depends on your priorities but if you value those things in this order 1) atmosphere 2) fun 3) ...all the other things Then this game is for you, period. The amount of work in this game, the visuals the dialogs and so on is really overwhelmingly great! Some counterarguments for the other comments: As others wrote the puzzles are not challenging but they are FUN! The story is contrary what others say is great, there is nothing revolutionary but if you want a some super elaborate story read a book! Some people say it is short, I say it is NOT LONG, I mean you can finish it in a few hours but what counts is the experience, I would rather spend 3 hours having fun, relax and get inspired by some title like this rather than spend days on some other title that in the end bring me mostly frustration

Return of the Obra Dinn

Beware

Disgustingly overhyped title, after 1.5h of playing I have been so annoyed/bored with it I had to remove it from my machine for eternity. The "game" is basically 2 things: 1) watching movie from the end to the beginning 2) trying to map dead people and their fate to a documentation book and reconstruct the whole story. The idea maybe does not sound so bad, on the paper, but: For part 1) there is endless series of cutscenes and those are SO INCREDIBLY SLOW with no possibility to skip no matter what key you press - like well yeah I saw the beast crushing a guy already so lets move on now but you will be forced to stay at that cutscene for another 2minutes - ANNOYING AF! For part 2) The book is enormous, there are like 40 dead people on the boat and you have to solve each and every individual fate but honestly - I DO NOT ****** CARE about what happen to third or second mate or what is the henchman name are or whatever! I am interested the important things like the main storyline and actually playing a game not endlessly browsing through some ***** book and trying to map 40^3 things to its place - what a terrible game design. (If I would like to do think like that, I would just find myself mathematical/logic riddles like "Einstein's five houses riddle" which is actually fun since you have all the requirements at hand without watching 10hours of cutscenes and retrospectively spending 20hours browsing through them through the ***** book) I recommend not waste my time/money on this **** - unless you are a masochist, with a lot of free time and no goals in your life then you can "play"(read grind) this game to completion.

Into the Breach

Mobile game/time killer

Overrated simple "mobile game/time killer" - there is very little "strategy" in this title as no matter how good you are doing, it will sooner or later put you (due to crazy RNG) into many un-winnable situation where you simply have to sacrifice stuff with lesser priority - it is just simple combinatorics so I 100% know this and all the reviews like "it is like chess" or "there is ALWAYS way how to figure this out" are 100% lying! (paid reviewers hello). There is also no way how to really "build" your base and you start from scratch every time, so no thank you. If this game would be sold at $2 it would be probably a good price otherwise beware.

Memoria

4+ starts on this "thing" is a joke

After playing it for a while understand why it is in sale for 1$. CONS: 1. Both dialogues and monologues are super annoying all the time - It is like listening to 12years old having an endless argument. 2. Story is your predictable black/white boring *****. Overall I doubt that the authors have ever read a good book or seen some decent play. 3. All main characters are just repulsive with terrible voice acting! (When creating a game, one should perhaps spend some money on it.) 4. Mechanics of the "game" are bad since you will probably develop a carpal tunel syndrom from clicking million times - too many derived sub items, no easy way how to deactivate the current selected item, too many useless interaction points, other games have this solved much better. 5. Riddles are nothing special PROS: - good visuals although animations sometimes seem is a bit laggy 4+ stars is a joke on this game - I suggest to play some other titles since this is just a waste of time/money.

SOMA

Good for 6years old

This game is so stupid it hurts to play - I had to stop after 3hours because I could not bear the simplicity of the game and story any more, everyone is helping you all the time and watching your ass so you go in the "right" direction and there is literally no challenge in this game whatsoever. Also, although the graphics looks very bad it runs slowly on my mac so I suppose it is very bad optimized. In the end, I would rather watch a movie like this rather than "play" this "game".

STASIS

Props for the atmosphere

The good thing about this game is the atmosphere the which is dark and dense and partly for the story which pushes you forward but thats all because, the actual GAME is rubbish: - controls are horrible: no keyboard shortcuts whatsoever, you can not skip the dialogs - the hero moves often in the least optimal routes which is just pure amateurism - puzzles are simply non-logical/stupid, the game is full of pixel hunting which I find boring and intellectually not worth any of my time (and yours as well I believe). Honestly: from the beginning I was using some online guide to get through all this BS and just follow the story and enjoy the atmosphere. - i really mind that the main character is pushing too much of his stance to you - story is mediocre, you know what is coming almost from the start I am glad I bought this game for the $2 otherwise I would very disappointed. PS: I believe this would be a great movie and the creators would be much better of making a movie rather than a game since they do not know how to execute it so in the end all the potential is wasted
