I found the game premise a bit odd when bought the game, but it really works. The gameplay is fluid, but there are so many keys to remember. Voiceacting is superb and they fit the story. The graphics is really nice and i had no stutter. No bugs and it worked well with my ultrawide screen. I like that a can play it with an emphasis on the story rather than combat, since I can no longer dedicate infinite amount of time to a game. If all Sony games are this good i will have play more of them! I recommend this game from what i have seen so far. My rig (nothing special): Ryzen 9 - 12 Core - 3D Cache. 64GB ram. Amd Rx7900 GRE (16GB). Windows 11 pro. No bugs seen yet.
Like the Syberia games, Amerzone is filled with amazing machines and fantastic animals. The story is good and i was taken on a great adventure. The graphics is really well done and music fits so well the melancholic mood. The voice acting was the only part i thought could have been slightly better. The hint system is nice (personally i am mostly here for the story and scenery so hint are nice). All in all a recommended game. I hope microids makes more adventures, since the team has really taken up mr. Sokals spirit.
This is a good short game, but it has an amazingly well told story and excellent music. Experience it for yourself and enjoy the ride. The puzzles are well made and there are always hints if you are stuck. Well worth more than the asking price.
I suck at this game, but it is fun! Gameplay is good turnbased gaming, and the sync mechanism is brilliant: If you align you troops, so they share targets you may trigger secondary shots from your fellows. The game also encourages you to move forward, since it rewads you extra protection if you do. This means you are always on the move and end up in new situations. It is fun, even when you loose. This game is going to be a classic hit: easy to start, but difficult to master. The game is just fun and the pixel art is excellent. The intro gives me pleasant flashbacks to an arcademachine hungry for your money :-)
Detective game, where you gather the clues and deduce conclusions and challenge persons narrative. I really like the deuction template idea where you fill in two items and select sentence pieces to generate a deduction. It is flexible enough to give plenty of combinations to choose from, but limited enough to still guide you a litlle bit. The voice acting for all the interesting characters is very good and the 2d drawn graphics is quite good (but the sequel Tangle tower is better). The game took me ~two hours to complete. I really love these games. The puzzles are varied and fun. There is a good hint system if you're stuck. TRhe animation and voice acting is really good (love the voice of hte sheriff). I wish somebody would make more game like this.
Great gameplay. Despite the low polygon count, the graphics still holds up. The level design is memorable unlike many games. The story has actual character arcs and the voice actors does a great job of showing that arc. Maybe it is to much on rail shooter, but it is still fun. It can be replayed after a while, simply to relive those little details in the game/story.
I have not yet finished the game, but I really like the puzzles. And so far it has not been of the sort in so many point and click adventures: Bring item A to point B and use with item C from faraway place D. The puzzles are rather logical in nature. I also like that I am allowed to solve some of the puzzles in random order. The graphics is really beutiful, as is the music. They do not distract from the game, which is rather slow paced. The voice narration is also well done. In total it all adds up to a soothing experience with relaixing puzzles. Gameplay 7/10 Graphics 9/10 Replay value doubtful. Sound 9/10 Total 8.5/10 -> four stars
This game has a forgettable story, but the gameplay is quite fun. A round of combat is only a few minutes long, but can scratch the itch for a game and you only have a few minutes. There are three game in the series and i prefer this one since the gameplay is slightly better. I suspect the hardcore gamers will find this game shallow, but since I also am shallow i like it :-)
It seems a lot of work was done making this program. It fleshes out the story and provides some good background to the story. The interface is nice and urges you to explore the content. The only complaint that i have is that navigating backwards is sometimes incoherent.
