Does not work

Crash right after intro caliming no DirectX. Runs only in software rendering mode, which is... no, there are no words how horrible it looks in that mode, so let me go back and say: it does not run at all.

Gauntlet™ Slayer Edition

Mindless and borring

From a single player perspective and without the knowledge of the original "Gauntlet" this game is an average H & S. Gameplaywise there is WSAD movement in zerging enemies environment with lots of LMB clicks occasionally interspersed with a few harder monsters, some SPACE and a few Q or E from time to time. You can easily see a console design and a dumb down result. :( Fun for about 10-20 minutes after which you will get bored even if you completed some levels. There is literally nothing that can keep you playing, even if you would want to discover and even if you force yourself to play just one more level to see maybe something surprisingly - nope, same boring design and gameplay Oh, I'm quite sure there was some story behind this hero going to the dungeon and killing waves of monsters, but it was so thin and irrelevant I forgot it after first 3 levels. They say it is a good game for 4 player coop (barring Galaxy-as-DRM issue). Well, I did not try that but seeing how the single player is super-easy-button-mashing-roll-over-the-end-of-the-level-and-repeate, it is hard to imagine how can this be any good. All in all, I'm glad I bought it at 75% discount cause that is just a little over how much it is really worth.

Ring Runner: Flight of the Sages

Good game with horrible steering

A space shooter in asteroids flavour with interesting story and god knows what else. Unfortunately I had no chance to see the rest of the game because.... well, there is no way to say it gently... steering is HORRIBLE. I do not know, maybe with game pad it would work ok, but with mouse and keyboard it is a constant fight with aim and movement direction. In a game that is all about fast and precision movement it is a bullet in a head. I give 3 stars because I feel the game has depth, but I could not give any more because it does not gave me a chance to experience it.

EVERSPACE™

Nice looking but too fast for a human

Concept looks good on paper, but still does not work in reality. It is better then most modern implementations of "rogue-like-in-space" thanks to spacecraft development after each death. It does not feel so pointless and unrewarding as FTL was. Unfortunately it fails to balance space exploration with space fights. Most of the times you are better of flying away to next sector (if you can since some times enemy will be at spawn) rather then engaging enemy space crafts. And even if you do manage to kill enemies (or eliminate then by other means due to clever planning and cunning) and are left with a sector full of interesting items, timer kicks in and waves of enemies or boss-ship shows up. It would not be so bad but space fight element is way too arcade - no human can make turns like NPC does. And no human can aim and shot as good as NPC does. Well, not unless you are 13 years old. That really killed the game for me. I mean I have noting against starting over after death, but only if there is even a slim chance I can win at some point in future. No amount of ship upgrades can change that here. Still, if you are 13 yers old, go for it! It looks really good and there is even some long-term story elemnt in it.
