1) Play for the Graphics/gunplay -its a gorgeous game to look at 2) The characters - barely there, they talk, you say nothing, you really dont care 3) Story - a little better then Metro 2033 but OMG the ending, feels like it was rushed and everything was squeezed in last moment. Dont even talk about your game gf..its like what, how? 4) Overall, its a linear adventure shooter, some areas you can have a quick peek around but its a mainly on a train on tracks and just enjoy the scenery as you trundle past.
Its not a CRPG per say, its more like a mobile phone point and click adventure You have no body and hover over the world like a spirit You click on the screen to get something or make an action - you get a small dopamine rush as you click on rewards etc Theres no model animation - everything is motionless You collect/buy/sell things to solve puzzles - nothing happens until you make a action, thats it Got it free so average for me- bet its great for a much younger crowd
You can only give orders to your units IF you have active messenger birds (limited number). So you cannot micromanage everything, which i found refreshing as it made you concentrate on your limited resources- So if you have a massive army, you wont control it all.. Some units will be sacrificed whilst you win on the other side of the battlefield. A concern on this game design - you have to spend ALOT of money on food to allow you to travel-if you do not have enough food then the strength of random units will be penalised. Be very interesting to see if PVP can be designed in. Be fun to battle another player. Useful hint - forests and anything wood built can be set on FIRE and it spreads....
Just don't invest too much money in lumber- unless you like Wood elves knocking on your door...constantly! Will never forget playing this game - my knight unit was so powerful
1) Look at some online video reviews - don't jump in straight in, dip your toes in first. Its not a fast based game. 2) Its very text heavy but thankfully a lot of it is voiced but you need to read 3) Its a slow burner , it builds up with twists and turns 4) Its a new world similar to ours with so much background history - you will hear new terms etc 5) All the characters are very well written - do note it may seem very pretentious at some points but its designed this way, just go with it. 6) It can so funny and so dark - accept this. 7) If you don't like these points - it may not be for you.
