Is there any reason in the game why I want to use shortswords? Do they give something usefull or special? I read your Effordless Fighter above and remembered a dual-shortsword-fighter a friend of mine played in a real RPG. Would this be of any value?

well... there is allsalyer from pitax palace. The thing is pretty good. Only problem would be there is no 2nd good shortsword. And there are exactly 2 unique shortswords in the game and even enchanted ones are hard to find. Long story short, shortswords are only good for a STR twf guy, that doesn't pick weapon feats at all, so it's very.. niche to say the least. Bloody shortswords are rarer than elven curve blades.

Hello! You told me to ask you here again.

I'd like to request the adjusted Human Sylvan Sorc for Hard/Unfair.


For context why Hard/Unfair. I played your other Sorc build on challenging in Act I without problems but I really want that pet since I might play in a smaller group. So now I would like to try it again on hard and see how it goes and if I can manage to survive it as well. I do have crpg experience it's just that I have no experience in builds with the pathfinder system.

I have one more question, you seemed really unsatisfied with the Universalist Wizard/AT that you made for someone, would you be willing to post your vision aka the "perfect" min/max one sometimes in the future? (Doesn't have to be now as I would really like to play Sorc for now due to not having to prepare spells.)

Looks good enough. Still not a tank(till late-game), but has good transition into Evo and bug abuse on his side but tbh you can always dtop 1 arcane protector and get the benefits of crane wing anyways, so not even that.

I just don't like generalists. They lose a spell slot for nothing. It's easy deal to drop enchantment+something. In that case likely abjuration. Pretty much the savant build, but with a few chages. Glutton works fine as well.

it is possible... I guess. If you have varn DLC that is. Rapiers present in the game are nothing spectacular, but they are ok.

Hello Ineffect.

How do I build a Scaled Fist monk as dps but w/ respectable AC as well?

I was getting bored of MC Sorc and wanted to play another CHA focused char (mainly for persuading) and go Musetouched Aasimar. I don't really want to use staff and other monk weapons mainly fists and want to focus on DEX for dmg but it might be abit troublesome than STR?

How do I go on about this? What styles / feats / class dips do I take? Also if possible im staying lawful neutral for rp purpose.

Nevermind. I found Falanders_GOG monk build and it seems sufficient enough. I forgot I was browsing the V2 page and not this one.

Thanks again for the Sylvan Sorc build. The Pet really makes it much easier in the beginning though trading nukes for control in early game is something I need to get used to.

Just out of interest, is the Savant build you posted viable for Hard/Unfair? Any chance you could post the revised version as well for future reference? I'm interested in adding it as a merc to my current party. (Doesn't need to have Merc stats). Though I don't want to be greedy and take too much of your time.

Yeah, why not. Hard for sure. For unfair either a sylvan or sage would take the cake though as the former has the pet and the latter has the DC. Although W10/V2/AT8 'should' be good enough for unfair.

As I mostly enjoy front-line characters as my main I were curious if you could make a good wizard focusing on spells buffing himself(and his allies ofc) enough to be a competent back/frontline fighter?

I mean, sure if you want it. It would be total garbage compared to sorc doing the same, though, but EK is right there. Something that would be passable for challenging can be done.

Wizard won´t get dragon forms or why would it suck in comparison? :)
