Uhm, .I'm in dainn 2 l-point, just after following a marauder....but now the mission seems bugged: the freighter it's just immobile and there no way to get it moving :/
Anyone else have this problem?

It's an old problem which I don't think there's a reliable solution for apart from 'keep trying it until it works', I'm afraid.
Going back to the base, then restarting the mission might do it.
Some people have used the developer mode to help them replay that part faster.
Hi guys,
Sorry to hijack this thread, but I'm having the same problem. I bought this game years ago when it was released, and I'm now a little desperate to complete it.
I've completed every mission available to me except Wolf's Lair (nothing else listed in the 'objectives' screen when undocked). I must have attempted this 50 times now. Each time the freighter stops dead, whether I F7 towards it or not.
I've tried going away and doing other missions (until I ran out of missions to do). I've tried pirating for a while and then coming back to it. I've tried doing the mission itself in different orders: killing the corvettes before the freighter arrives, killing the freighter and corvettes and waiting for another freighter to arrive, killing the junk and the tug... all to no avail.
Has anyone attempted this mission this many times and succeeded? Or should I give up and use someone else's savegame?
I'm running patch 14.6 btw.
Thanks
i'm still waiting for that damn lazy freighter. tried a dozen of times, in all the way i can think of...,
lukily, i still have my old pre-gog savegames :P

I'm gonna make do with the savegames here since repeating this mission is getting me nowhere :(
Shame, since it pretty much negates the point of pirating if I'm inheriting someone else's loot. Also not particularly happy that my ships will have different names, but I spose it's just something I'll have to put up with.

yes, is't a bit frustrating.
btw the last part of the game seem to be a little bit less polished, i have just find an another little bug, and flying with autopilot through l-points sometime ends in a deadly and frustrating spacecrafts accident (never happened to me in the early, less congested sectors )
it's still a great game, anyway :P
I had a look at the mission script but couldn't see what was going wrong (My EOC scripting skills are very rusty as it's been nearly 10 years since I did any scripting on the game).
So, I've created a mod to mark the mission as passed so you can bypass it.
It needs the Multimod mod to work, which you can download from the I-War 2 fan site.
I've attached it to this message, but I've renamed it as a jpg because you can only attach images. Download it and rename the .jpg extension to .zip.
Place the mod in the mods folder of your EOC install. It's called Bypass Wolf's Lair. Activate it using the extras screen in EOC, load your save game, then launch into space.
A message will tell you the mission has been marked as passed. Dock back to the base and save. There'll be an email waiting for you about the next mission. You can then turn off the mod, as it's no longer needed.
Important! Make a backup of your saves first, just in case something goes wrong.

Thanks Ravenger!
I did try downloading the savegames from i-war2.com, but they're incorrectly named and I couldn't find the savegame directly after Wolf's Lair. Had to skip Hide and Seek as well. This way it'll feel like my game still, even if I skip the mission.
Might be an idea to sticky this thread (if it's possible on these forums) since this seems to be one of the most commonly reported bugs with EoC.
EDIT:
I'm afraid it doesn't seem to work for me. I downloaded and remamed it properly, and opened it with winrar just to make sure it was recognised as a .zip. Placed it in my mods folder along with the others I've been using, but after activating it nothing happened. There was no change to the objectives list when I undocked, and no new emails when redocked.
I tried deactivating all the other mods I'm using except for Multimod and this new script, but to no avail :(

EDIT: Try this copy. It's straight out of my EOC install's mod folder. If it doesn't work try unzipping it into the mods folder and deleting the zip file.

No joy unfortunately, zipped or unzipped. It didn't show up in the Extras menu unzipped, but I tried undocking anyway. The zip file is called '440c6192a2672f05d0f115eef01ed2da7d09b695' when I save it, and it's called that in the Extras menu too. I didn't think it would matter, but it seems odd since the .ini file would name it 'Bypass Wolf's Lair' in the Extras menu wouldn't it?
This may or may not be relevent, but I'm playing an old copy of EoC rather than the Gog version. It's patched to 14.6, but it still needs the playdisk to run.
Weird that it doesn't work. I've re-zipped it with a different zip program just in case.
If this version doesn't work then if you've got an email you don't mind putting on here, I'll email you the file directly just in case it's being mangled by GOG's attachment process.

Still not working :(
I don't know what the problem is, but it doesn't look as though the file is getting scrambled when I download it. I'm willing to try again if you don't mind sending it to me.
Thanks again
EDIT: The mod worked perfectly in its original form so the gog forums must have been messing the file up. Thanks again Ravenger. This is much better than attempting the mission hundreds of times, or resorting to using someone else's savegame.

I'll see if the I-War 2 fansite can host the mod in case anyone else has the same problem in the future.

I have! Having just managed to get through the Corporate Holdings mission sideview/crash problem by running in 256 colours and selecting Win 98 in my XP compatibility settings, I've now got this immobile transport bug in Wolf's Lair. :(
I did managed to "encourage" it to move once by shooting it up a bit and taking out its escort but it just just headed to a nearby station and got blown up by the locals who were understandably reluctant to do business with a Marauder.
I'll try to find the mod, many thanks Ravenger for writing it.

It's not on any websites yet. If you give me an email address I can send it to you directly.
