Besides not liking it myself, I am wondering about one other thing: WHO THE [...] APPROVED THIS FROM THE BUSINESS PERSPECTIVE???
I have clicked on one of these games only once (I've clicked right now a second time, but it was just to test if anything has changed, so it does not count).
One of the games has attracted my attention, so I thought: "Cool! They have it? I want one!". Guess what - the game was NOT available on GOG.
This little widget does a great job of taking the GOG customers away to other stores.
Whoever is (or feels) responsible for Galaxy: find the persons who designed and approved that feature, and have them screened for possible sabotage.
That's one. When you're done with the traitors, make this section optional and configurable. Or at least show me the games that I may *buy* *on* *your* *site*.
As many people posting before me, I also loved the design and clarity of the Galaxy 1 client. If the guy who designed it still lives, find him (or her), bring him (or her) back, find in the trash and clean his (or her) favourite coffee mug, offer your most sincere apologies, and ask the guy (or lady) to make Galaxy 2 into something good.
I do not know if your main source of income is still selling games (you may also be selling statistical data), but because of so many cases of poor programming around (bugs on forums, bugs with Galaxy, bugs with support system, and the most loud and recent - bugs in Cyberpunk) my will to buy any new games has been *extremely* reduced.
(I'm sorry for the harsh words, but what else can you do in the middle of the night, in the middle of the lockdown, if you want to have some resemblance of social life? You post some rant on Internet forums! That's it! ;)
