Agreed it should be an optional "feature". I don't have friends on Gog, nor do I plan on ever playing my single player games with friends. I don't care what others are playing. Get rid of it or make it a checkbox in options or settings.

I don't personally have many friends on GOG yet, but I don't intend that to be the case forever. That said, I care what my FRIENDS are playing far more than "what are a bunch of random other people using GOG playing right now?" which is what Galaxy actually shows you. Not the relevant thing. If you had options to control what content it shows (including turning it off entirely), that would be a much better system than what we currently have.

The option to turn it off or better still remove it completely!

Please give us an option to remove this block.

The "Played by me" section can be made larger and have larger images, and maybe even a play button to jump directly into the game and save a redundant click.

Please also allow us to remove the Summary block, instead place it in its own category.

I came here trying to find a way to disable the recently played by others block. On my screen I can see 4 games recently played by others and only two played by me. That's ridiculous and makes the recent screen all but useless to me, since I'll likely not see the game I recently played that I'd be looking for..
I agree.
GOG Galaxy 2 is a great software, but this is the most annoying thing about it.

"and maybe even a play button to jump directly into the game and save a redundant click."

That's a good idea.

Remove it, or make it optional.

It takes more space than my recently played games and shows PS4 and Switch exclusive games. This feels more like advertisement than recommendation.

I do not like this, either. At all...;) It's like he's trying to fill up the gobs of blank spaces the 2.0 version creates atm.

So much butthurt. Remove completely because what? Because some players can't mentally stand what others play? Maybe they should seek medical help in that case rather than filling this thread. Stop looking at GOG Galaxy, get a life, maybe start playing games. I don't get why some people complain when they have 10 or less games in GOG library (or just one demo like dude 2 posts above me). Maybe stop complaining and help GOG by buying games first? And then you may stay in the owned games tab?

Option to disable it is a good idea. Votes for complete removal, when other people may like this view, originated in some braindead mind. I like to know what is trendy now even when I don't play trendy games.

BTW it doesn't take so much space.

While I agree that "better still remove it completely" is a stupid position, you're not making your own comment look any better than the one you're replying to here. The ideal is, I agree, for it to be optional (as you said, and as I've said before). Arguing that it would be better to remove the feature rather than giving people the option so those who do like the feature can use it? That's a comically exaggerated level of negativity, to the point of sounding stupid. But suggesting it's a "mental" problem and that people need "help" simply because they strongly dislike a feature you don't share their feelings about is just as bad, if not worse.

Dude, you need to learn to chill...

I have more than 400 games in my library, but not on GOG. Galaxy 2.0 has become a launcher for multiple stores and platforms and opened itself to anyone, so anyone should be allowed to share their opinion too, regardless if they purchased games on this store.

It's not like the list of "recently played by others" messes up my live so badly that I need mental help... But this feature serves no purpose on my "recent" page, if it's not also in some way related to games I like to play. For example a list of "recently played by others similar to what you play" would be much more convenient.

+ 1 I want to view my own recent games list

My own recently played games list is smaller than the other section, all the other information on this page is worthless filler.

+1,

give us the option to remove it or let us customize the dashboard

I want an option to remove it as well.
It's really annoying and I'm absolutely not interested in what other people play. I can very well pick the games I play myself.

+1 its useless and a little annoying, would be better without it.
