I just found out that I'm able to play Defender's Quest for 8 hours straight. Pretty surprising as I'm not even a big fan of tower defense games.

McDon: Though I never met anyone who's played that long, I doubt they'd smell they've only sat down for a quarter of a day, not very smelly activity and office worker pretty much do the same every day.
Just banishing an American stereotype here :)

djranis: lol what if someone was jumping on the wii fit for last 8 hours, i am sure you can smell something wrong there ( plus it would be wrong for someone to love their wii fit so much)
lol true though they'd have to be pretty fit to use wii fit non-stop for 8 hours...
When Might & Magic first came out, I played for 48 hours without sleeping.

Yes, the first one, probably the 2nd as well. They were great games!
Wow, hard to tell. I rarely find the time to dedicate a whole day to playing video games. I think I played Dead Island more than 8 hours straight a few months ago but I only did so because I played it online with two great buddies of mine so it was rather about having fun with friends than actually playing the game.

Seriously, I don't know if there's a single game I'd be willing to spend 8 hours playing on one day.

wow, no offence but you've been gaming a long time :)
Wow, there are a lot of people made from sturdier stuff than me. The longest I've ever played a game at a time would be about three-four hours. The games I've played for that amount of time or thereabouts in a session (off the top of my head) are Skyrim, Pokemon, Radiant Historia, Age of Mythology, Fire Emblem and Fallout. There are probably more, but I don't recall.

As for what game I could play for eight hours? Like, if I really tried? I guess Skyrim or Torchlight II, maybe FTL but I haven't tried that yet so who knows. But honestly I think my enjoyment would go down the drain if I even attempted to play for that long. Sore eyes, restlessness, cramps, stress and sleepiness would happen.

As for side-effects, yeah I get migraines easily anyway :(

So much love for that game. :D I have been feeling serious nostalgia for it lately, might have to see if I can find it again.

maybe multi-player match one of these days...pity I'm crap :)
I used to play those team-deathmatch FPS games like Alliance of Valiant Arms, Crossfire, Project Blackshot, Army Rage, Combat Arms, etc. often into the early morning. I was dangerously addicted to those games both because I was pretty good at them and because once you die you almost instantly respawn close to the action so there's almost nothing to interrupt your experience and pull you out of the game.

None taken, it has been great. Hopefully, I will be gaming for a long time to come.
Back when it was released Fallout, then Fallout 2 next. The only other game beside those would be when I first got WoW back in the burning crusade expansion release.

No other game since then. I just don't have the stamina anymore and I need my sleep since I work alot sometimes.
