With your purchase, you also get a comiXology giftcode for the digital Shadowman (2012) #1 comic book, and a $5.99 discount code for a Valiant Comics official Shadowman t-shirt (7-day offer)!

They say that magic of blood is the ultimate kind of magic. It pleases the mighty dark spirits of the Deadside, giving its user power that no human being should ever wield. But the human soul is easily corruptible by such temptations. There are always those, who would reach for the forbidden fruit. They will kill to taste it. They will kill again to keep it. But the Man of Shadows, the traveler between the worlds, stands guard. His destiny is to maintain balance between the Deadside and the Liveside. By the power of gruesome voodoo artifacts, he's implored to stop all strife--by any means necessary.

Shadow Man is a third-person perspective action game that will amaze you with its dark story and aesthetics. You will explore two overlapping worlds, held together by the power of eternal magic. The nonlinear gameplay will take you to numerous impressive locations with many terrifying enemies to defeat and clever puzzles to solve. If you enjoy action games with deep and unique setting, solid gameplay, and dark mood, you can't go wrong with this comic book-inspired classic!

Start your fascinating journey through the dark realms of bloody magic and madness in Shadow Man, for only $5.99 on GOG.com, today! Special bonus codes for the comic book and $5.99 discount for the official Valiant Comics t-shirt will be e-mailed to you. This special offer lasts until Tuesday, September 24, at 9:59AM GMT.

Ghorpm: I get your point and in general - I'm willing to agree. But you see, it's bit different for me because classical music is very special to me. For example: I'm listening to some punk rock music while typing this replay. But I would never do this with classical music. I don't do anything else at all when I listen to classical music. I just sit and savor (preferable in concert hall but sometimes my apartment must be enough). That's why classical music in games (and other media) irritates me...
I can understand that, I used to lay in bed with headphones, shutting out the world and listening to classical music and/or film scores as I was growing up. For me personally, when I know a piece well, understanding the colours and emotions, I enjoy hearing it used in other media when it's used appropriately and by someone who understands what they're doing. The original Astroboy is a good example. It was also the first place I ever heard The Carnival of the Animals: The Aquarium.

How do you feel about game music that is written classically or makes use of a full symphony orchestra? Say for example: The ending medley from Final Fantasy VIII.
OMG, an Acclaim game release, shit just got real on GOG. :D

On a more serious note, never did play Shadow Man originally and i'm glad I got another chance with this release.

JudasIscariot: I ain't in charge of that :P

Ask TeT :D
I asked him in the very same thread, but he ignored me ;-(
Oh, yes! Thank you GOG! :)
Holy crap, I was just thinking about this game two days ago. All I remembered about it was you go back and forth between two worlds and I think there was a character named Jaunty. The only other thing I remembered about it was I rented it, and got stuck at some point, and spent the last day of the rental trying to figure out what I was supposed to do or where to go. Man that was frustrating. That was before I had the internet, of course.

I couldn't even remember the name of the game, but as soon as I saw this topic title I knew right away that was it. I'll probably pick it up at some point, but I've got a massive backlog already, plus GTAV is bound to suck up all my time in the near future anyways.

Well, you see, for me even lying in bed and listening to classical music is unacceptable. Sitting is the only proper pose for me ;) Yeah, I know I'm a freak but as I said - it's very special for me.

As for your second question - I don't know, at the moment I don't remember playing any game with a full symphony orchestra (I've never played FF VIII or any other FF to be more precise)

now all we need is a Russian, and a Chinese after that ;)
Well, I don't have much to bring to the table, but just to make sure my country is represented:

Yay! yay! Yay! yay! Yay! yay! Yay!

This is one of my favorite games ever, and I feel like I talk about it all the time and nobody knows what I'm talking about. I love this game. I'm so excited. I didn't see this coming at all. What a nice surprise. Hooray!
FINALLY! One of the best games ever... and one of the very rare instabuys for me. Thanks, GOG. I waited for this all the time, because my copy here has some trouble with my system. :-)

Maybe you don't have that many strange letters, but you have a lot of funny words. I'll never forget "fart kontrol" and "slut" ;)
Very nice, just a shame I have so many games to play already!
