Don't miss the Demon War expansion, 50% off like the main game!

Din's Curse, a astoundingly deep and replayable hack-and-slash type fantasy RPG with randomized world generation, is available 50% off for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. That's only $4.99 for the first week. For that time, you can also get the Demon War expansion for $2.49.

In Din's Curse, you will explore an extensive underground, slaying dangerous monsters, solving dynamic quests, dodging deadly traps, and in your spare time, plundering loot. Quell uprisings, flush out traitors, kill assassins, cure plagues, purge curses, end wars, and complete other dangerous quests or the danger WILL escalate. Not all is as it seems though, traitors will gladly stab you in the back, renegades can revolt against the town, spies can set up ambushes, and items might even curse or possess your friends.
Choose one of 141 class combinations and journey to an infinite number of dynamically generated towns with vastly different problems. Every game is a surprise! Your actions have real consequences in this dynamic, evolving world. Your choices actually matter!

If you're up for a truly original, open-ended action-RPG experience, make sure you pick up both Din's Curse and it's Demon War add-on for only $7.48 total. The 50% off special release discount for both will last until Tuesday, October 14, at 1:59PM GMT.

JudasIscariot: Nah, but the topic itself kind of is :)

Besides, you do have a GOG Mix dedicated to regional prices so.....yeah :D

IAmSinistar: Well, I have a number of GOGmixes. And I like information. I'm less of a crusader on regional pricing than some members (in that I will actually buy a regional priced game), but I suppose I am one of the de facto leaders of the charge on the topic.

Bit a shame to be known for just that now, after the other things I've done. I think I'd rather be known for my game rights research or promotion tracking, or even my Insomnia boosterism.
Don't worry, you aren't "that regional price guy" in the office :) We don't pigeonhole people into one or two word descriptors around here :) But, yes, you are a de facto leader of sorts on that topic, can't deny that :)
Poor man's Titan Quest??

You're a rights guy in my book, mate, don't worry about that. ;)
after reading here and elsewhere, this game looks pretty awesome, plus it's hack and slash so yay! I love that towns can be taken over, it sounds like a nice departure from other arpgs i've played like this. On my wishlist :)

Oh, and it looks like you can download a demo at the company's website:

Mistercosmic: Poor man's Titan Quest??
No, you can compare it with Torchlight 1.
it's good, but my favorite Soldak game is still Kivi's Underworld....
The expansion doesn't needs the base game or you people just forgot to mention that?
Also why are they sold separately?
Anyway, I put it on the maybe list for now. I'm waay too busy to get to many new games.

Cheers mate, glad to hear it!

I'll stop sidetracking the thread now, and just add a thanks for this release. I've heard the name of the game bandied about before but this is my first chance to try it. I'm looking forward to a good dungeon bash, and I like a procedural generation game that keeps the challenge fresh. Thanks GOG!
THANK YOU SOLDAK AND GOG!

There's no diplomacy as it's a straightfoward, in terms of gameplay mechanics, dungeon diving game :)

No overland travel.

Depths of Peril has a kind of early WoW- style combat mode where you needed to have one ability on a monster beforeyou could use another (if you've played a Rogue in WoW then you'll know what I mean) so in Depths of Peril you had to chain your attacks in a certain way.

DoP didn't have you cursed a by god to force you to save the world one town at a time. Kind of reminds me of a fantasy take on A Clockwork Orange but without the moloko plus :D
Heh. And just yesterday I plugged / pushed people to try this in the Diablo thread. You all really have no excuses now. [And remember that you can get Demo versions to try through Soldak Entertainment's website.]
