I'm just happy to see GOG grow :)
I'm excited if it's EA, Lucasarts or Eidos... if it's Take Two I am not that excited.

I am excited to find out if I am excited or not.
Crusader No Remorse - No Regret
Wing Commander 3 + 4
Bioforge
Fade to Black
Dune
Dark Forces
Dark Forces 2 - Jedi Knight
Lost Eden

Want them very badly to be GoGed.

It's one of those things again that make you think :

"hmm two days."
"I'll be home in the evening normally"
"Might have a look."

This is one of the rare sites where i come back to with pleasure and anticipation.
So i'm not excited but...Curious.
I just want it to get out of the way already. Honestly, all I feel is left over annoyance over "Haha, wouldn't it suck if we didn't announce something or acknowledge that thing we said we'd talk about? Well, don't worry, w'ere not that cruel. We'll ANNOUNCE SOMETHING LATER!"

Hell, it was vague even by announcement of announcement standards, since it even lacked a date of the announcement it was announcing.

I know that there are some potential versions of the announcement that could make me happy, but honestly I just can't bring myself to feel anticipation the way I did before the LAST live-streaming press conference.
I think it's another one of those "we don't have a game for Tuesday so we will post an event countdown to distract our customers from the lack of a Tuesday game" announcements.
I'm betting that their big announcement will be that they're bringing one of the most well-known, most famous, and most talked-about games of the last ten years to GoG. A game so well-known that it's a legend among PC gamers. The buzz that surrounded this game was so huge that it affected not just the man behind it, but an entire game development studio.

I'm talking of course about Daikatana...

Take a look at dotemu page - I'm sure GOG has many games to release.
I wonder if it is Lucasarts. I would like to play Full Throttle again....

I'd like to PAY for Full Throttle at last. I found Sam & Max Hit the Road on disc, but I haven't been able to find FT yet.
Regardless of which publisher it is, the more big publishers GoG has, the more leverage it gives them with the others.

Unexciting, but still a good thing

If GOG release Sam&Max and Full Throttle it would be the third time I pay for them.

Epona222: I'm hoping that Grim Fandango (Lucasarts) will finally be available - I bought the game as a new release on floppy disk way back and loved it but I haven't had a floppy drive for around a decade now! I still have the disks but they are ancient, even if I had a drive for them I wonder whether they would still work, I don't know what condition they are in. If that comes to GOG it will be a must buy for me.
They released a >1GB game on floppy? I suspect you confuse it with another game.

Demut: Given EA’s absolutely retarded stance on DRM I deem this highly unlikely.
Have you noticed we got some ubisoft games?

lukipela: it was a lot of floppies:P
730 or so?

O_o
That's INSANE! It'd kill the FDDrive!!

Edit : Also, not really excited. I'm waiting to see who the publisher is, first.
They've (Gog) not really got a handle on how to work publicity properly, yet.... :P
Sometimes, too much of something is not a good idea, and that includes not nipping customer expectations in the bud when it starts getting carried away with itself.
