No, not really. I'm afraid I can't be bothered to care until after all the hype and presentation. I'll still be watching, mind you, but it's not so much "excitement" as it is "just get it over with". Not to mention the build-up for the Atari announcement was even less exciting than I'd imagined it would be, I'm game for more games and sales, but monks and comics don't really do a damn thing for me. It's no small wonder I'm no fun to be around. ;)

Unless the announcement involves a certain user from September 2010 (protip: it's not me), a user from October 2010, and another user from April 2011 being publicly ostracized and cleansed from the forums, it's going to take a good deal to make me jump with joy.

Heh, I'd bet my right lung that I know who the 9/10 & 4/11 users are. 10/10? Not so much. It will haunt me like the unknown location of Blackbeard's infamous buried treasure.
Eh I was excited when they first announced it but now I'm kind of in the "Just show us for Christ Sake" mode.

Oh, it doesn't take too much imagination to figure out who I'm implicating. Chances are you're searching too hard if it's not immediately obvious beyond the shadow of a doubt. ;)

The individual who joined the same month as me should be painfully obvious. Telling you that they revel in being obnoxious and posting several times per page for several pages, currently have very low rep, may very well be the most unlikable forumgoer you'll ever meet here, likely spends all too much of his time lurking and being entirely unfunny on imageboards, and shamelessly uses countless obvious sockpuppets falls very short of telling you who I speak of directly.

The April member currently has negative rep and is just an all-around idiot.

As for the October member, he's much less annoying than the other two, but I'll give you another hint and tell you he quite enjoys practicing the dark art of necroposting.

I'm one to talk, though. Making a game out of hating people certainly isn't how one goes about garnering universal appeal, is it?

I can guess who you mean. :P

On my side of things:

Don't revel in being obnoxious, and posting frequently isn't a crime.

Low rep is due to those gaming the system to lower it down, and unlikeable? Nah, not to everyone here at least.

You get the rep trolls to stop trolling my rep and i'll drop the alts.....sound fair?

As for the October member>....interplay promo?

godspeeed: did lucasart also made this game called Afterlife?
Yup, it was a sort of sim city like thing where you simultaneously managed heaven & hell

That sounds interesting logistically/COI speaking......I wonder how it played out.
I'm not really into their wacky PR stunts and hype. Other people love it, so... meh.

You just don't like being tricked...:P

My advice: Stop being so easily tricked....;)

How am I being tricked? It's not as if I'm sitting here with baited breath. I mean, if it's Lucas Arts I couldn't care less -- I bought the Monkey Island remakes last year and not really that interested in replaying the other titles. Only thing I'd want is System Shock 2, the rest, as I said, is 'meh.' I just think the PR stuff is stupid... 0 n0es, it's DrM... dur hurrr hurp de durp!

I meant tricked, as in duped into following the hype and not throttling it back a notch from time to time, then getting upset that they let you get so overhyped...as if it's their fault. ;)
