personal view: the view somebody takes about an issue, especially when it is based solely on personal judgment
I have played terrible games before... broken games, games that are supposedly horrible but are greatly over-exaggerated in such. Some may enjoy this game & I can respect that, but to me personally this game is atrocious & damn near unplayable once you get to the area that I am at. There is no more enraging feeling than going out of your way to do an hour's worth of work only to get every bit of it taken away due to the game's lack of simple design decisions that could greatly improve a user's experience with the game. Its like the game gets off on punishing you for doing anything besides the story... even then, navigating in the dust filled lower part of the city is damn near impossible. You have a map, but it is useless... you try to follow a path to where you need to go just to find out that it is blocked off & that you need to find another path, which you do.... to find out that it too is blocked off, rinse & repeat. All the while losing precious stamina that can only be reclaimed by consumables... if you run out of them while being lost beyond belief you are straight up fucked & have to go through all of the shit that you went to up until that point all over again. In my case, that includes hunting down 4 survivors (which are often out of your way), finding the items that 3 of them needed (then bringing it back to them), going through an insanely difficult fight to help the 4th, collecting various healing items & items that I will most likely need for future survivors, & trying to navigate an impossible to navigate area while trying to figure out what I was doing wrong (which was actually the shortest part believe it or not... largely due to the fact that your stamina is drained so Goddamn quickly).

Whoa..
I am Alive was a really good game, though it ended quite abruptly. I don't understand the hate it gets. I would totally recommend people to play it.

I think it's mainly because first trailers and annoucements suggested it's gonna be something more than Assassin's Creed poor and retarded cousin.

This thread proves that one man's junk is another man's treasure. :)

There are worse, but Daikatana was almost laughably bad. Battlecruiser 3000 AD is probably still worse, though...

we must be thinking of something different. Shadowman was just one game to my knowledge. It came out around 95 96 97? kind of TR clone in style. You played a cop in N.O. who goes to and fro from alive to dead. It's not that it was that bad; what bothered me is you'd go through one brilliantly designed section strait into something from an episode of Barnie & Friends. It was so inconsistent and sloppy.
