Fenixp: Average, yes, but bad? Nah. I love hack n slash as well you see, and I still really liked it. And I loved the presentation. Yes, it's not Star Wars canon, but I don't really give a crap about Star Wars canon. All I do give a crap about is that the game made me feel awesome and it has always exceeded my expectations in what over the top passage it can throw at you next.
To be fair, he is only stating his opinion... different strokes for different folks.
Hahaha it is unforgiving. I've had fun with it, but having to go up against three bandits at once always stops me. The game says hey its a narrow corridor with three enemies & they have guns, you have.... Your fists, but you can take'm! Basically instakill, even been shot before the enemy's animation of it had time to catch up. The game seriosly just wants you to die, over & over again. It feeds on your frustration.

SimonG: Bad port, that was my gripe with it. Really clumsy. Never played past the first two levels.

Fenixp: Yeah, the port was bad. Then again, I have finished Devil May Cry 3 on the highest difficulty using keyboard only, so I don't really mind.
I'm curious, how is the port bad? I experienced no audio/visual glitches and it played just fine with my xbox controller. Was it a poorly optimized performance thing? Admittedly I've only played it on a 3.4ghz i7 PC.

I'm a huge hack n' slash fan and I thoroughly enjoyed the game too. Even it's not-as-good sequel.

As for the thread topic, I wouldn't say worst game ever but I did find I Am Alive to be boring, cripplingly flawed and painful to look at.

Well menus are only controlled via keyboard, graphics options are very limited, and the game's compressed.... Very, VERY badly. The bloody thing took up 12 gigs on my harddrive, and it was hardly a game that actually required so much space.

Yeah the install size was ridiculous, If I didn't have a 2TB drive at the time I would have been far more annoyed than I was. There is a full install that nets you uncompressed high res textures, it looks great but the install goes over 20GB. Ow.

Also, I can navigate all post-launcher menus with my xbox controller. Maybe it was patched for later releases? My copy is 1.2 by default on disc.
