SirPrimalform: Vitek's not completely correct, it's been under 3 weeks since the lynch. That's nowhere near a month, October the 7th is exactly a week after the 30th and much closer to a month (still slightly under). Anyone with me for waiting a week longer before we pull the plug?

Vitek: Ah, I thought lynch was on the 4th not on 8th. My bad.
Doesn't really matter anyway, Ghost definitely isn't going to be able to carry on and probably wouldn't be able to hand over to another mod even if we did find one. =(

Plus she said "kill it"...

Whatever's happened, it sounds pretty heavy. I hope she's ok!

bazilisek: I don't really know what went wrong.
The game was too complicated for most people; the lynch scenes didn't reveal the role of the lynchee and people got fed up with getting nowhere. No information makes it very difficult to come to any sensible conclusions, which is why we ended up with a lot of random voting.

So many people quit that it was impossible to find enough replacements (even getting to the point where I was resurrected to replace Damnation).

I still have no idea who the mafia (if there is one) might be; Robbeasy would seem the most likely to me - the severed spine I've been harping on about for quite some time, but beyond that I have very little information, though I do know several who are innocent! ;)

Same here.
Also it was quite unmafia-like in most points. Cases built almost exclusively on lynch scenes is very unusual as well as things you mentioned before.
It was quite funny to me. One moment chatting with you about the game and few hours later you're back among us. :-)

P.S. I haven't seen Zchinque around since August.
I'd vote to kill it.
I'm always loathe to give up, but I can see no realistic way back....
I'm for killing it as well.
Well - everyone seems ready to kill it now - is there any point waiting??

btw nmillar....dead wrong...;o)
I vote kill it as well. So do we have the majority yet?

I don't think so, and hell, I'll start us off if everyone wants.

9 out of 9 players voted "yes", I think it's more than enough. :-)

You won't here any objection against starting from this humble vanilla town. :-)
Whomever wants to start, start, i'll post my pm in a bit whether else has or not.

I'll post mine in a few minutes then need to find it

You are: Luke Testa -- Town Reporter

Owner of the Oaken Den Daily, Luke Testa is known for being all too nosy. He makes it his business to find out everything about everyone everytime anything happens. He's not a well-liked sort but people can see his usefulness. Unfortunately, since the murder he's become more of a pest than anything, bothering people to make sure they are where they say they are. He's making himself unwanted, fast.

Win Conditions: You win when all threats to the town are removed in some fashion, even if you yourself die.

Post Restrictions: You have no post restrictions.

Powers: Night actions: Once per night, you may check a player's house to see if they're home. Players not home are doing a night action. There is no limit to the number of times you may use this power.

Feck it- I've got mine ready, here you go peeps....

You are: Chris Spack -- Town Lyncher Mason

Chris Spack is the nerdy kid of the small Maine town of Oaken Den. Despite having myriad niche interests which could help catch a normal serial killer and being quite good with computers, he has very little to offer in this strange time. But his place in the club started by his friend Jamie Heath has little to do with ability and more to do with trust: in that Jamie trusts that Chris won't tell anyone else about their borderline illegal activites, including sneaking onto crime scenes and messing about with evidence. Chris and Mary Wayford, the third member of the club, never really got along well, Mary always seeming to treat Chris badly for his perceived lack of ability. He puts up with it because he knows that with the town as kill-crazy as it is, she'll get hers.

Win Conditions: You win when all threats to the town are removed in some fashion, even if you yourself die. You need revenge on Mary: if you aren't on the wagon when she is lynched, you cannot win. You can't get revenge if you're dead: if you are killed before Mary is lynched, you cannot win.

Post Restrictions: Your club is doing things that are dangerous and illegal in the pursuit of an end to the madness: you may not roleclaim.

Powers: You know the names and roles of your mason partners.
************: Jamie Heath -- Town Mason
************: Mary Wayford -- Town Coroner Mason
You may chat with your mason partners at any time using the following URL: http://www.quicktopic.com/46/H/kMTdpBm96Xx.
You have no night actions.

In order to use night actions, PM me with the action you wish to take, your target, and any other relevant information. I will PM you with the result.

I've starred out y fellow masons - ones dead, but its not my place to reveal the other
Here's Mine

You are: Jack McGorrian -- Town Tracker

The closest thing to a cop in this sullen backwater, Jack McGorrian is an expert tracker in both urban and rural environments. Granted, Oaken Den is neither. Jack McGorrian can do it expertly too. Raised in Montana, this isn't quite the badlands he grew up with, but he knows his way around a little town in woods thick enough to strangle a crow well enough that it may as well be. Acting as the hired hand of the law currently, he's confident he'll find the killer.

Win Conditions: You win when all threats to the town are removed in some fashion, even if you yourself die.

Post Restrictions: You have no post restrictions.

Powers: Night actions: Once per night, you may choose one player to track. There is no limit to the number of times you may use this power.

Seriously, I think the next mod is going to have to nudge me off that if I roll it just to keep me alive after the first night (and not screw over the town)

Here are my Night Actions

Nmillar: Suspecting one of the outsiders, Jack McGorrian decides to check out his hunch. He follows them home from the evening murder, always just far enough behind to remain unseen. They stop at a hotel. They do not leave their car. They don't seem to move at all. When midnight rolls around Jack thinks he's seen everything he needs to: a whole lot of nothing. Looks like he needs a new suspect.

Vitek: Another outsider suspected after the admittedly unsettling demise of his last target, Jack follows him back to his house. He chains his bicycle up to the porch and then goes inside. About ten minutes later the lights go out. Seems like a cold trail again, but Jack's been wrong before. He takes another drink of whiskey, trying to clear his mind of the horrible image he saw when the bullet entered the skull of that young lady. Maybe they'll get the chance to figure out if it'll happen to this guy too. Maybe he's just had too much to drink, and a normal man went to a normal bed in his normal home.

Andy: Jack drives past the house of an outsider that night, a strange man with weird attitudes. He quickly finds no one home. No matter, he'll just follow the most likely route the man would have taken. His intuition is flawless for following. He's not a tracker for no reason.

After about 20 minutes pass of him driving around, he realizes that a pair of headlights have been following him for quite some time. His intuition tells him he's ahead of his game a bit. Quickly, he turns back towards the house of the man he was tracking, and sure enough that vehicle follows. He suddenly kills his lights and, driving blind, parks about a block over from the man's house, kills the engine, and waits. That vehicle is definitely the Canadian's, he thinks as it passes him. Ten minutes later it passes again. Five minutes after that it parks and the driver leaves the vehicle.

Jack watches closely as the man makes his way towards the house. He's startled rather badly when he finds the man turning to face him, staring right through him. Their eyes stay locked, both men perfectly still, for a very long time. Eventually the Canadian turns to go into the house. As he relaxes against his car, Jack realizes that he, the hunter, had become the prey tonight.
